Modern Warfare seems to have a pulled a bait and switch by throwing in nostalgia characters like Captain price and soap. However, the writing and direction of this game is no match compared to its predecessors. You are the few people in this community who made an comprehensive review of this game rather than simply calling it the best call of duty ever made
you know how this reboot felt to me? A way to diversify the franchise. There was no need to rewrite anything and in doing so they made a worse story, but this time with diversivied characters..... really boring.
And to anyone who says "filler" would be a better term. I would disagree filler would mean it at the end of the day MWII had something important relating to the overall story. When in reality the only actually canon important thing In MWII's campaign is the introduction of Makarov AT THE VERY END OF THE GAME. Meaning 99.999999% of the plot of MWII is irrelevant and isn't even relevant to the next games plot PERIOD. MW19 at least ended with some hope of actual tension. MWII 2022 effectively is like Vanguard in terms of the CoD franchise a metaphorical piss in the wind. 😮💨And a F**KING insult to anyone who worked on MW19 period
It sucks that Modern Warfare II is meant to stink, because not only was Modern Warfare 1 pretty good, but the Modern subseries has had a pretty good track record. I urge any unsuspecting gamer to play Call of Duty 4, the first Modern entry, because they will find that it still holds up as a short, yet sweet package.
I'm glad that we're seeing some common sense now the hype has died down. The campaign plays it very safe and the multiplayer is a buggy convoluted experience with a terrible map selection. It's also miserable to play if you're above average at Call of Duty.
I understand the point your making, I feel like you came at this game from a different angle, including the point of it's more fan service then a reboot, but I think that point doesn't make the game bad because fans honestly have been asking for this
GenericVideoGamer Yes and No. I'm glad Call of Duty is back to a modern setting but the fact they are just upgrading the old stuff like maps and missions instead of making new things is a bit of a let down.
@@ColDAXX it's either this or uninspired garbage of sledgehammer games, I appreciate that it can be better, but as a battlefield fan, we know one day greatness will be back

I will say I seriously enjoy DMZ. It’s a good time with friends and I don’t feel like I have to take pre-work out just to live for 10 minutes.
OG IS BETTER
JUST LIKE GEARS OF WAR

The best way to sum up MWII is: "Saturated"

“Safe spaces”
I agree completely. I'm actually enjoying the PvE modes a lot in this game.
Recently I replayed og MW3, I really liked it. It brings that feel of full-scale war... (I only used my own reshade to fix brown filter)
Plus, it gave us the "Price-Punch" meme, so there's that.

One thing that we can all agree on, MW2 2022 has the best Ghost
I think that the OG Mw2 Ghost Is Better
Modern Midfare 2.
I hated that they just added women.
Gamer moment

i think this is just set up for MW3, think about it like that
@@theuserg1219 I really like that perspective, especially as the last cut scene is no russian
