The airflow path is supposed to go from bottom (the open triangles under the car) and sides upward out the top. You don't want to block any of the exit paths with trying to force air in against the flow path.
Agree with FoxRydes!!! Very cool product but 1179.00$???!!!!! I thought at the most they would be 500-600. I would have considered at that price but it’s a BIG NO for the price!!!!
I agree that pricing is a little steep but it is 2 pcs, so 1179/2 gets you 589 which is right in your price range ;p
These should be $899 at most.
@@tracewaybos the 500-600 I was referring to is for both. Why would you purchase only one? No different then side skirts, rocker panel skirts, etc. 899 is still too high in my opinion. ACS does make good products but the price point is reaching into the greedy realm.

Once you get to the initial start up costs, getting their machines to design, it set up your manufacturing in China to make it and then ship directly from China to the consumer. All you have to do is kick back and let the money roll in. What would you rather do Sell 30 of them at $500 profit or do the paperwork for nine units and make the same profit. This company is successfully expensive for all their products when basically a nine-year-old could grab the corner and take half of it with them home just for laughs and giggles or professional thieves stealing their crap because it’s only stuck on with tape.
$1200 is seriously laughable. Within very short order a Chinese knock off will be available for $200 and then after that a $75 3d printed ABS version on Etsy. Good idea though,
Only problem is that the air is designed to flow out through the mesh vents on either side of the rear glass, but I think a better mod is to design a cover that still allows the air to flow out, but keeps water out, such as rain or when washing the car.
Ooooo I love it!!! Thats hard to choose which one I like best actually. I think though the carbon flash version wins out for me. Adding that extra two tone effect definitely adds that extra bit of aggressiveness. You guys knocked it out of the park with this one!!!

Like it in a body colored version. Kind of expensive though, as others have stated. Rain intake might be a problem, but it sure looks cool.

I think the Carbon Flash version will look best if the owner has a Carbon Flash High Wing or spoiler. If no wing or spoiler the body matching color will look right.

This doesn't improve air flow into the engine. The air is just flowing into the engine bay but it's not actually going into the intake.
Agreed. I just did a Valarie intake and the air is pulled from the existing intakes. Not sure of the reasoning here.

I like the concept, however, since heat rises I am hoping it will help aid in getting it out fast given that the incoming air will help push out the heat while cooling the airflow within.

How are the ZO6 splash guards coming. Side air intakes are Huge stone collectors. Not good.
Nice design, more flair. Did you have any engineering issues, does it add more drag to the car since there is air coming in my 2 different places on the same side? Air flowing upward and air flowing down ward has to collide inside the engine bay creating a vortex before it escapes back outside. The good thing is that it seams it would keep the engine cooler while slowing the car down. Looking forward to getting mine in.

I am curious about the pricing strategy you have adopted. I've been a customer of your company since I owned a C7, but I must admit, the current pricing seems quite high. In my opinion, these items shouldn't be priced above $400.
This does not constitute an enhancement of the air induction system's flow dynamics. Rather, the air is merely entering the engine bay, devoid of effective ingress into the intake system. Furthermore, it is imperative to consider the potential interference with the engineered airflow, particularly from the undercarriage, and the potential conflicts that may arise when integrated with the V09 package.

I would have to go with the color match. With all 3 layers of black(top, mid, bottom) it just looks busy. Any Idea of how much rain water will get through all that?
People drive Corvettes in the rain?! Very little will get in given it is side mounted and the top is not exposed. It would be the same as your side intake but even less.
Do you offer colour match to say a torch red? Or is that up to the consumer?

Very interesting but I like so many have said before, the price point is waaaay outta line for basically just a cosmetic attachment. I would’ve considered buying if in the $500-600 max range. Good luck selling very many, I’ll be looking for an affordable aftermarket alternative option for my C8.

I will pass on this item because; #1. Too expensive. #2. In description, narrator mentions possible gaps in fitment. Thats not acceptable for such a expensive item. #3. GM engineers did there homework on how best to cool engine compartment. I think this item would severly alter the intended heat displacement flow, possibly not cooling as well. And last #4. I think the edges where these contact car finish will create rub marks on car finish over time.
Without data showing these cool better, they really are just expensive "ear rings" for a car.
Looking for someone with a 3d printer to make these for a few hundred bucks with rubber on the bottom to keep the plastic from rubbing on the car finish.
My comment is regarding the color. To me I want color matched. I had to pay $995 extra to get rid of the black pieces. That never made good sense at all. Why should I have to pay extra? If someone wants black stuff let them pay extra. I would also want to see some specifics regarding how much cooler that makes the engine compartment. The cost is another matter all together. Cheers!
A lot of the C8 tintcoats are tri-coats and a pain in the butt to paint (that’s why you see upcharges on colors like Red Mist from
The factory). CFZ is a lot “easier” cheaper to paint. Those pieces you paid GM to be body color are separate from the car and not painted at the same time (I.e more work). Likely their reasoning.
We experience the same thing when painting body colors compared to black.
Data to follow ;) you will likely only see improvements in a track environment versus daily driving.
