Maybe they didn't miss the fact that it was a simulation especially,as you pointed out that it says as much in the description, but maybe they assumed that a simulation would reflect reality more closely which is usually the purpose of a simulation and if it doesn't questions are asked or comments are made. Not everyone is as ignorant as you seem to assume.
I thought the magazine on the Vulcan only holds 2000 rounds, they shot that many in the first few seconds and I don't believe they are that inaccurate at least not the ones I saw on on my ship

I saw the phalanx on my ship shoot down jet powered drones two miles away with little trouble and I wondered if things had changed that much since 1989 or did the guy making the simulation get it wrong. I do sense you are either a little slow or you think you are much smarter than you are to jump to the conclusion that I'm to dumb to realize that I was watching a simulation especially when it says so in the description.
