Actually it's easier than that...If you alternate your punches correctly, you can continually hit him without breaking a combo. This will continue until he gets down, of course, then he gets back up, throws a punch, then you can continue the alternating combo until he's down. He will ALWAYS stay down after the 2nd KO.
You have to start pressing the punching buttons as soon as you avoided your opponent punch. Once you do that a couple of times, it'll be easier and easier to master it. Be quick! ;)
Nice run! Also, you can do something called a buffer, hold an input and on the first frame the game can execute that input, it will, so once you knock him down the first time, buffer a left gut punch and keep buffering them

Ya know as a kid, Don would always have me rolling because of the way he fell after being knocked out, was silly. Way to work those hands.

There's another strategy: If you don't get a low health refill, spam A. You'll intercept his dance and get a star!

Why did the time stop at 0:34 if you were still fighting him.
When we do very quick punches combos like I did, the time slows down as we do it. It's part of the way the game was built! :)

It's because those kind of fast punches freeze the timer. The game was made like that... ;)
to be fair, Master Phred (nor myself) did not discover the strategy for the 15 second win. That belongs to Martin Charlebois.
Yup! I did it too, but I must admit I did it only after having seen this strategy. It is all a matter of timing! ;)

Then your knowledge of the game is lacking. Quick combo punches freeze the clock in this game.
