something that I really like to do is listening to podcasts of people who talk about books that I've already read, it's really fun to listen to their opinions and it's amazing how a book is perceived in soooo many different ways by different people!!
@@rumaisaelhakeem3490 hii!! since idk what books you've read, I'll just drop the names of a few podcasts that i really enjoyed ^^ - The Bookworm Bookcast🍎 - The Dark Academicals - Cozy Club
omg one of my goals for this year is to find a hobby and I’m really enjoying reading and picking that up much more seriously this past weeks and me and my best friend are literally discussing creating a sort of book club podcast thing 😊 i’m taking this as a sign to really invest in the idea further!
I feel like 250k subscribers would be an easy task looking at how consistent and calming this channel is. I just wanna take a moment and appreciate how I love your videos, idk if you''ve noticed most of the influencers who start with vlogging, creating lifestyle based content after a while switch to making only fashion related videos, makeup tutorials and really expensive makeup and skincare products which, I am happy that they are achieving their goals but somehow that slight deviation from the purpose of channel feels like they've been setting unrealistic standards as for a university student. Channels such as yours, they have a different, really positive vibe which I know for sure if I play a certain video might make me wanna do my tasks as well. Thank you for making this one of my comfort channels and I hope you have a peaceful day
That's 100% agree. For me, personally, i don't like unrealistic life vlogs, which is too much prep or smthng, and literally i swear it'll not gonna be so useful when college started, i mean, not that much tho, as college students too, this will be realistic and just calming to watch, to understand, and to inspire.
Happy late New Year! My goal this year is to finally stop getting in my head about perfection and actually finish writing a fiction novel. I don't yet have a timespan, but hitting 10k words before the end of the first week was incredibly motivating and I hope I can continue that trend down the line.
I'm planning to finally start vlogging on UA-cam myself! I've got a to-do list for that (learning how video works on my new camera, choosing a video editor program, generating a list of ideas of topics for individual videos), and I plan to be up and running by March. Great video, as always!
What I do normally every year is exercise and then keep my mind focused on what I need to achieve. Sometimes I journal or use my planner or write to do lists. And then, I just give myself self time to balance out my emotion and mood behavior, which is like everyday of my life. That is my vital routine to staying independent and remaining positive throughout each year. I wish you lots of success and happiness as the sun shines through every morning. 😇 From Angelle 💋
this is the second time this has happened w me!! a few weeks ago, I really wanted to watch a vlog of yours and in like 10-15 mins, you uploaded one and then today again, I wanted comfort in some realistic content (in vid form) and you're here to the rescue, thank you sm clarisse!!
Love the vibes of your videos ✨! My 2024 goal is to get a full-time Software Engineering job and upskill the areas that I love working on and help me make a better candidate for the job in the process!
girl!! i haven't watch our vids in weeks/months due to being busy af... you graduated???! i'm so happy for you!! Your vids look so much better, the way you look to the camara is better, before you wouldn't look much to the lense but now you do more, you're talking more, more confident. GIRL YOU ARE SHINNING!!! You look so pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Happy to be back, the content is soooo much better!
some podcast recs for you!! (all available on spotify, probably on other platforms too but i listen on spotify!) informational/stem: 1. ologies with alie ward - alie ward (host) has a different "ologist" (a scientist specializing in a specific field of study) on the show each week to talk about the area of research they're involved with. topics have included personality psychology, sleep, jellyfish, AI, sharks, emojis, abandoned houses/buildings/ghost towns, etc. each ep is 1-2 hours 2. invisibilia by npr - talks about different "invisible forces" that influence our experiences, beliefs, ideas, lives, etc. topics have included fear, thinking, pain, synesthesia, emotions, clothing, etc. something for everyone, super informative and really funny and captivating! each ep is ~1 hour 3. the memory palace by nate dimeo - short little snippets of cool history, fun facts, general trivia knowledge. (by short i mean short, eps are about 3-7 min on average). really interesting stories of places, people, things, events, etc. there's not really a good way to explain it beyond that, it's good for anyone who loves having random knowledge to infodump in the middle of conversations lmao true crime: 1. morbid by wondery - basic true crime podcast, the two hosts (alaina and ash) are friends who take turns presenting true crime cases to each other. each ep is 1-1.5 hours 2. crime show by gimlet media - a true crime podcast that i find to be a lot more humane and research-based than your typical true crime podcast while still being interesting and informative. the host (i forget her name ugh sorry!) does research on different true crime cases and talks to the people involved and stuff as opposed to just reading about what happened. also tends to focus more on the people involved and making them more real and human, whereas most true crime podcasts just emphasize the gore and the thrill of it all to the extent that the stories seem fictional. great true crime podcast that seems more... ethical, if you will? idk i like it a lot. each ep is anywhere from 20-60 min. narrative/fiction: 1. the bright sessions by atypical artists - narrative following dr. joan bright, a psychologist who provides therapy for the "strange and unusual." her clients have different abilities and each episode is a recording of a session. it follows four main clients of hers, and develops into a really unique and interesting story! genre is sci-fi but not like SUPER sci-fi, just a bit supernatural. each ep is 20-30 min 2. the mistholme museum of mystery, morbidity, and mortality by dominic guilfoyle - absurdist fiction type podcast that's meant to be like an audio tour guide for this fictional museum (the mistholme museum). each episode walks you through 3-5 different exhibits at the museum through the voice of an audio tour guide like you would have at a museum. it gets really interesting and weird as the episodes progress because the audio guide starts to break the fourth wall and shit goes down at the museum. this one is also sci-fi/supernatural/absurdist fiction. each ep is 20-30 min culture/society: 1. sounds like a cult - exactly what it sounds like; the two hosts (isa medina and amanda montell) talk about a different group every week that looks like a cult and sounds like a cult (but is it really a cult?). sometimes have guest speakers on the show to talk about their experiences, and the episodes always end with a "rating" of whether it's a level 1, 2, or 3 cult. topics have included disney adults, troubled teen industry, essential oils, megachurches, taylor swift, dating apps, etc. each ep is ~1 hour 2. binchtopia - i cannot recommend this podcast enough. hosted by eliza mclamb and julia hava provide hilarious sociological/psychological commentary on pop culture among other things. well-researched but super super funny and interesting. a podcast for the girlies! topics have included sororities and fraternities, the opioid epidemic, monetization of self care, "boy moms" and absent fathers, plastic surgery, fast fashion, etc. literally my fave podcast ever and i will never shut up about it. each ep is 1-1.5 hours 3. the lily pod by linneah rae - a queer feminist podcast hosted by linneah rae (a uni student studying women, gender, & sexuality studies). every episode is about different queer or feminist topics, also sometimes self care type studd. topics have included the "cool girl" inspired by gillian flynn's gone girl, queer femme platonic friendships, misogyny, the male gaze, "glow up" culture, gender identity, the trope of the queer villain, etc. i really love this podcast and the host linneah is SO sweet (i have talked to her many times through social media, very big sister energy). each ep is 20-45 min
happy new year clarisse! I 100% agree with upbeat music being the soundtrack for the new year. My favourite podcasts are everything goes by emma chamberlain & on my mind by ava jules
Don't set limits; instead, push boundaries and discover the incredible strength within you. The journey to success often begins where your comfort zone ends.
i mainly listen to tech, video games and news (mostly politics) podcasts but once in a while and when there's an episode that resonates with me i listen to "temps pour soi" by Marie MT or "dimanche pepouze" by lenadorable which are more lifestyle centred. My goals would be that by the end of the year i find a more stable job and make at least significant progress on some healthy issues
loved that video ❤ some of my podcast recommendations : trying not to care, anything goes with emma chamberlain, moments, deep dive with ali abdal. some of my goals for the year : get straight As as much as i can at least, taking care of my mental and physical health, start learning spanish, read 50 books, improve myself in my major (which is pharmacy) in some ways and finally be more social.
