    Used this and Part 2 to change the transmission in my 2006 Ford Escape XLT. Only minor differences. Excellent video and editing. The tips saved me countless hours knowing what to remove to get access to the transmission. Also, removing the lower arm at the ball joint was WAY easier than other videos I watched. Only took a few minutes to remove the Axles. People like you are what make UA-cam an invaluable resource. Thank you, sir!

    I see this is a few years old, but wow so valuable for getting through the driver’s side engine bay! Great production. Explanations clear and concise, and your direction and indicators of WHICH nuts/bolts are very clear. Thanks a million!

    Great video. Not only do you show how to remove a transmission, you have to remove so much stuff to get at it, it's informative on those parts too.

    Thank you! I was replacing a water pump and came across a broken tube. Wasn't sure what it was even attached to but it said 4x2 so I assumed it was the transmission. Found this video trying to see if was the transmission so I'd have a point of reference to start from, and you actually identified the exact tube by name.

    I feel like alot of u don’t really need a trans replacement. I have a CD4E with 260k miles on it never changed fluid. Started slipping bad under load hauling some bags of rock. Got home flushed the trans 1 gallon each time driving in between for about 6 times. Also replaced the solenoid pack inside the trans pan under the valve body. Trans runs like new again I mean even better than before it had problems. Btw originally was getting 3rd gear ratio incorrect code. Just thought of this helps one person mission complete !

    • @digitalorgy3784
      @digitalorgy3784 26 днів тому

      I also found out getting the fluid measurement is extremely important to this trans. It will act up if not correct. Run the vehicle in park and warm it up hold the break and motion thru all gears while holding the break. Put the car back in park and leave it running. Now check the fluid while the car is running be sure to fill the fluid to within the cross hatch mark on the dipstick. Always allow about 5 minutes to recheck after u add fluid

    I replaced the transmission in my 02 Mazda Tribute and got everything hooked back up, the battery and starter both still fine but I get absolutely no power when trying to turn the key, what could be the issue?

    I haven't started to remove the transmission in mine,yet. But since I was planning on replacing valve cover gaskets at some point, I'm going to do this at the same time I plan on removing the transmission. In doing this I'm thinking that this should give me enough clearance to reach the upper exhaust manifold bolts from the top side. Any thoughts or input would be appreciated. By the way..GREAT VIDEO!!
