You will never regret making music a part of your life forever. Your performance was outstanding and I am so sad that I wasn’t there to hear it in person. Texas is just too long a commute. Always be thankful for the people I’ve taken time to fine-tune your gifts. Carol Noble Grunden
I don’t know the words but damn if this is such a beautiful song. Makes me miss my time in choir in high school and some of the beautiful songs I got to sing
I made the Texas All State Tenor Bass Choir this year and I’ve heard a lot of other state choirs on youtube. Texas and Colorado are superior by far. Love yalls balcony recordings every year. NEVER STOP DOING THEM PLEASE. Cheers!
Haha I didn't know they were that popular! It was a tradition I was very excited to take part in, especially after hearing Down to the River 2 years ago. Have fun in Texas All State!! And come back to tell us how it went!
There were 2 tenor solos that were chosen that you hear throughout the song. They do the calls and the choir responds. The tenors were Gabe Stadtmueller of Ft. Collins High School and Johnny Flanagan of Grand Junction High school
It would sound like a world without my best friend. He is immunocompromised due to chemotherapy and would be dead of COVID before his 25th birthday if people didn't take global health and safety precautions like wearing a mask to prevent transmission. Is that beautiful?
@@kc4208 My best friend Dave died 9 days ago. He would have been 25 years old this December. I still cry every morning that I wake up in a world without him in it. Have the life you deserve, K C.
@@AutumnintheNorth awww ... i am so sorry. I have lost 2 brothers ... one when he was 23 and i was 18 and the other back in june 2015 (he was 40 and i was 37). Both served in the military and spent time in war .... both committed suicide. I was diagnosed cptsd after the 2nd. I for one thank all of you for wearing them (at that time period). People were still in the process of getting vaccines and boosters. Thankfully the majority of us aren't conspiracy theorists and listened to the recommendations, or our hospitals would still be overflowing with millions of people dying.
As a South African and a gentlemen who just left high school and choir. Loved hearing this ❤️.

Same. I had to take a moment to mourn my old high school choir when I started college
Sang this in middle school years back! Beautiful choir, beautiful song
What a great joy it must be to be able to make such music.
It really is an experience like no other

Kentucky's is good too.
Beautiful!
Who is the tenor calling in the beginning? Or is it more than one?
That would actually be the director for the tenor/bass choir! Tesfa Wondemagegnehu (wand-eh-mohg-eh-nee-yew)
@@heyits_j I see he is in my home state, Minnesota, at St. Olaf college.

What is that song?
The song is called Tshotsholoza, composed by Jeffery Ames
Imagine how it would sound minus the masks. Beautiful

That was amazing!
But with masks..? Really..?
Yes with masks. This was easily 1000 people in an enclosed space projecting air in early 2022
