    6:35 Top Tip of what not to do on this pen.
    *Correction* : the inside threading is actually coated titanium which is a PRO in my opinion.

    Solution for pen wiggle: If your pen wiggles at the rubber rings, and the beginning of the tip ( this could be because you are using a longer refil, at least I do) I suggest you putting some basic cello tape around the rubber rings. Nothing fancy, just some tape. This fixes the pen wiggle, and it's a much more substainable solution than shoving the extra rubber rings you get down the tip...trust me. Also, it doesn't make any crinkling sound, like I though it would. Remember, the wiggle migth be the ink cartridge inside.
    TO SUM UP: Pen wiggles, put cello tape around the end of the barrel, migth take two layers. It's going to be difficult to screw in, but that's good. I hope I helped.

    There’s no plastic on this pen. It’s black coated titanium.

    What’s with the background music?? Feels like I’m in the lobby of call of duty multiplayer lol. Btw very cool video.

    A pen so well built with very resistant materials with a simple and "naked" mechanics, seems to be made to last centuries of life. The orings in plastic material are a contradiction. They could use metallic materials such as bronze which is "self-lubricating" and has always been used in mechanics for its wear resistance. Perhaps calibrating a correct diameter of this part would have required time and higher costs

    I agree with you for a different reason Yeah, but it gets dirty. It should be smooth or more space store, thicker jimping. There’s so fine you can’t even get the grit out. V

    At 13:40 that piece is not plastic. It's titanium in DLC black.

    Hi, such a informative review! How's the texture of surface? Does it have the characteristic roughness of titanium which is very useful for giving some proper friction with your fingers?

    • @WillEDC
      @WillEDC  7 місяців тому +1

      Not polished. Not tactile turn grooves. Maybe like fine lathe turning

    The inside threading is coated titanium to increase smoothness, not plastic. Great review!

    No! The piece inside the nose cone is NOT plastic. It’s metal and verified by Big I Design.

    What is the background music name?

    • @WillEDC
      @WillEDC  Місяць тому

      Omg I can’t remember. I think it was a generic background music from my editing program which used storyblocks. From what I remember it gives me a copyright strike but not for this video. Maybe I’m talking over it.
      I can’t find the audio. I looked it up and it’s not there. It was something like “intense” blah blah. I’m sure it originated from something but I don’t know.
      I think some others asked and feel it’s cod or something similar

      I don’t even know. Some generic background music that’s hopefully doesn’t get a copywrite strike. It’s in the editing software

      @WillEDC  7 місяців тому

      @cipherxnc77 oh ok. Hmm I get mixed feedback. Some people hate it. I feel it fills in the blank audio space and I try to keep it low in relation so it’s not offensive. But nice to hear it’s ok for some viewers 👍🏻

    How is the click feeling vs the tactile turn?

    • @WillEDC
      @WillEDC  2 роки тому +1

      Different. If you ask me what I prefer? Myself I’m not so picky in which I would say either is bad but they are different.
      Tactile is longer arc and easier movement and the bigidesign is shorter and stiffer. Almost like a German manual transmission versus some kind of short throw sports car.
      ua-cam.com/video/Z9EyZ2BSE3I/v-deo.html
      If you check out my tactile turn review you can see the shape of the bolt channel is different than this.
      I just used a scale and a wood block to get a numerical measurement that may or may not help. The tactile turn in stock format measured at approx 290g of force before the bolt start to move. The bigidesign took 760g of force. About 2.5x more. Is that significant? Eh.. the thumb is a strong finger. It’s up to you.
      Perhaps a stiffer spring tension is better for the shorter travel shorter arc of the bigidesign.
      Now, usually I don’t bother commenting too much of the stock refill. The thing is you can change that, so I feel the stock refill is not so fair in judging a pen.
      I even feel that about the spring tbh. You could cut down a spring and stretch it out a bit to tune to your liking. Or even swap springs with disposable pens 😅

    Great review, but the plastic is a deal breaker for me.

    • @WillEDC
      @WillEDC  2 роки тому +3

      It’s actually coated titanium. I was corrected. I noticed other reviewers thought it was plastic too. But there is none in the pen 👍🏻
      They have a kickstarter now with a slim design that is adjustable but you need a tool.
