I have used my Blackfield tactical pen holder with fisher and rite in the rain cartridges since 2015. Was 35€ and has been my favourite pen. I have the G10 TT on notify when in stock again, and gonna buy the TT icefall later this evening. Yes expensive but will last a lifetime
I've been intrigued by these for awhile, but honestly, I prefer the Ti Scribe (titanium). While not cheap, it's less than the tacticle turn offerings and I prefer their solid "bolt"
You must not have owned a tactile turn or used one yet because your comment is exactly what I thought until I got my hands on my first bolt action and a Side Click from tactile turn
Good review. I'm really not a fan of smooth finishes on a pen. But this one looks promising. With that texture, with what could we compare its roughness? Would you recommend it for people with sweaty hands?
The texture is definitely the defining feature of these pens. Plenty grippy 👍 it’s hard to say what I would directly compare it to though… I suppose it is kind of like a knurled texture, but not as ‘harsh’. I definitely recommend it, even if your hands get a little sweaty ✌️
I freaking love my pen. I opted for the bronze and it has such a sleek patina after only 2 weeks. It is a tad loud for the office, I definitely agree but overall it’s so good. I have a bunch of G2 pens(best ever lol) that I just cut to the right size for the Tactile Turn. Fantastic tool.
I find myself jumping back and forth between the two… very tough call. The bolt action is a little bolder and different, while there’s something appealing about the subtle difference of the side click that I really like too 👍 Can’t go wrong
I debated that, but I was worried about sealing it permanently in case I ever need to disassemble for cleaning. The mini grips seem to work well 👍 Haven’t had it loosen lately
@@JakeReevesVideo that's good glad somethings working for you. Blue is pretty fragile and doesn't take much more force to break but it'll stop all backing out from vibration. Just don't use red or white because then it will be pretty stuck.
Nice. Thanks for the tip. I’ll keep it in mind for the future. I have a slim version of the bolt action as well now and it appears to have an adhesive at the threads, so I’m sure it will be fine 👍
I used a very, very small dab of loctite 242 (aka loctite blue) for the bolt and it hasn't loosened in over 2 years of constant use. Don't use too much or the stuff will seep into the cylinder.
You sound a lot like "The Wet Pen" guy. Freaked me out for a moment. I have the tactile turn side clicker. For my bolt action action i just ordered a couple of Bastion titanium in their sale
Can you do a review on the smoother, pro erasable action 🖊️ pen. It’s $16 USD for the budget minded who want the bolt action because I’m new with my Rocketbook and I thought it would be cool to have one.
Actually, since tightening it with the vice grips it hasn’t loosened 👍 And I’ve since purchased the slim version which didn’t have that issue at all. Worst case, you could apply some locktight

Use some locktight to prevent the bolt from loosening.

Good to know 👍 I’ll have to check them out ✌️

Yeah I wasn’t happy with the bolt getting loose, even when i applied loctite to it. I might try the side click pen
Send it back they will replace
the only reason i bought it is to clicking it all day even on the lunchbreak. since then a couple of people have left the office.
Possible video idea: compatible pens with the pilot frixion ink?
Thanks for the suggestion - the short answer is anything that fits a Pilot G2 cartridge (many do) will also fit a FriXion cartridge 👍
Sharpie now has gel ink line and has both plastic and metal pens it very comfortable and I was addicted G2s until these
If clicking a pen is annoying in a "shared office environment", it's time to find a new job.

Awesome 👌 Ya, it's a great pen. I can't wait to try the slim version in copper 👍
you have to cut the refill?
How is the clip attached? Can it be replaced when damaged?
Thanks Jake. Which style do you like better-the side click or the bolt action?
Tough call. Both are nice, but probably the bolt action if I had to pick one mechanism 👍
@@JakeReevesVideo thanks Jake!
Side Click! Both are fun but all my mates have preferred the bolt action to begin and we all settled on the side-click..
I find myself jumping back and forth between the two… very tough call. The bolt action is a little bolder and different, while there’s something appealing about the subtle difference of the side click that I really like too 👍 Can’t go wrong
I really enjoy my side click! But I need to give the bolt a fair try.
Is that pen is a tactical pen for self defense?
I don't think so but I don't see why it could it be used as a self-defense weapon
Self defence in case they steal your car and kill you dog
Jake what is the refill that you use preferably? Can you do a link or just the brand and style? Does it write smoother than the standard G2 pilot
I have this same model (standard bolt action, titanium) and the Pilot G2 7mm refill works best. The 5mm refill is finicky and doesn't write smoothly.
Have you tried using a dab of blue loctite on the bolt threads?
I debated that, but I was worried about sealing it permanently in case I ever need to disassemble for cleaning. The mini grips seem to work well 👍 Haven’t had it loosen lately

Having to tighten the bolt seems like a massive hassle.
Where did you get your bracelet?
I made it. Check out “Weavers of Eternity Paracord” on UA-cam 👍

Actually titanium is not a hard material at all.
$125 bucks for pen? Lol
The bolt will always become loose! Very disappointing

@@JakeReevesVideo did not work with me. Is there any solution then end this problem please help because I’m addicted to fidget with that pen
Hate g2 leaking ass pens refills
