Torso Rotation - Strengthening

  • Using a theraband or a cable machine in the gym you can train the muscles involved in torso rotation. Attach a theraband to a secure location and begin turning away from the attachment.
    Keep the pelvis fixed forwards and the chest inline with the hands to ensure your torso muscles are working and not your hip and shoulder muscles.

    Great exercise for core and t-spine. I do this in tandem with Paloff presses, which I find great to strengthen core - especially to withstand cross-directional forces when running trail or desert.
