    So Josh just gave us a compost tea recipe that he has been working on and perfecting for years , and he gave it to us for free because he cares about our environment. John didn't sell anything in this video he and Josh shared knowledge and valuable knowledge at that. The cost of a class to learn this is 1800 dollars . I thank the both of you for sharing this with the world I have learned more than I could even of imagined in one year from your video's . Thank you

      These guys genuinely care and want to help people grow better food. John hardly ever mentions his other businesses, he's not using this to plug them. In my opinion he should at least have a link to juicer business in his vids even if he doesn't mention it. FYI, the GYG offers at boogie brew are still valid, I just clicked on it and ordered one of the packages they put together for us, it's a really good discount.

This stuff is AMAZING!!!!! And to the people saying this is an info commercial please keep your ignorance to you self and sit back and learn something this info is invaluable and we are lucky to have someone to share such amazing knowledge.

      If you oversalt? Add gypsum to the soil, and it will allow salt to leech out. Only add it once. You dont want gypsum building up.

    Funny that some people would call something an "infomercial" for a video showing how you can make your own premium quality compost tea. Thanks for sharing Josh, and thanks for the video John. The fact that Josh is willing to share this information says a lot about his character. I hope to meet you both in person one day to shake your hands and talk. I've been working with George H, to bring WGP to the Eastern USA. Would like to do the same with BB at some point. Folks in the West just don't know how good they have it by being able to go to their local nursery and pick up these products.

      Jesus...information overload! But no doubt it was of high quality information that cant be ignored....but
      the more i dwell into the shadows of gardening the more i realise that all this is frankly not needed and this sort of practice is expensive.
      What im saying is that the microbes in compost and in teas are, for the most part, native microbes which already exist in your local or native garden of your area.
      From what i understand is that native microbes are in the soil and they are transferred to the compost pile as you amend it with the native ingredients (grass clippings, wood chips dry leaves etc) and are attached to plant roots and also on the plants in your garden.
      Wouldnt the local microbes be blown in with the wind from garden to garden?
      I dare say that the majority of microbes that you already have in the garden are from your local native surroundings and are now in your compost pile, on your plants and within the soil, so do we really need to go this far?.

      +tolga erok not all soil is created equal. And not everyone has a garden to grown in. Some like me are limited to container growing.

    • @williamccjr
      @williamccjr 8 років тому +2

      +tolga erok Its that kind of sentiment that allows me to produce higher quality, healthier medicine than most growers. Keep in mind, even the most esteemed soil biologists in the world don't fully understand the dynamic/symbiotic relationship between plants, nutrients/minerals & soil biology. What you think you know about plants & soil biology is in reality akin to a grain of sand on a beach the size of a planet. The more scientists learn, the more they realize how little they in fact do know. Don't underestimate the power/benefits of quality, properly brewed AACT's. When brewed correctly, with the right ingredients, the results are almost unmatched vs any other method.

    • @ncalimendo
      @ncalimendo 8 років тому +1

      +tolga erok you can certainly improve your own local soil with local forest leaves and grass clippings and kitchen compost. But that takes a long time, this tea is a special process to make better use of time and is great for container plants.

      My home was built on an old Farm that was sold to a developer. You'd think, I'd have a richest soil here. But the big farms around here have destroyed the soil, so getting it back to where all types of fruits, nuts and vegetables will grow has taken me over four years of making compost. shredding leaves, chipping down the wood from branches, bushes and flowers, adding mushroom compost and worm castings. This year was the first time my Tomatoes and Corn grew to full size, and the Peas actually had a TASTE! Over the last week, I've actually found WORMS (not something I added)! FOUR YEARS! A product like the Brew would have helped kick-start this soil if I had known about it. Am hoping large farms in this area will consider purchasing Joshes stuff in bulk, and hopefully will sincerely start working on improving their soil. Years ago, they used to follow the Bible and take turns allowing their soil to REST every seven years, while other farmers would help each other out during their turn. Now, it seems like they are all in a race to see who can get the MOST out of their acreage, and there is NO resting. What a shame.

      Sacred Farmer We are beyond grateful to the REAL farmers out there who have embraced this way of growing...Guess what, Sacred Farmer, (and all the awesome GYG'ers out there)?...In all honesty, we have learned the MOST from folks like YOU; our own dedicated tribe of brewers, (the actual end users of the product). Therefore, on that premise, we have to keep sharing the love / knowledge & passion with all....Above all, GYG'ers have absolutely held Boogie to a higher moral code than ever: Clearly, we have no choice than to keep (trying) to do business this way....The relationships that we share with the Eco-Farming Community must be nurtured, just like the relationships in a soil's (microbial) web-of-life.

    Love this video,,, I am working on a hydrid aquaponic system that instead of fish I'm using a organic composting system that the water goes through and leaches the compost and then is oxygenated before it goes to the plants and then the water goes back to the compost tank, which has millions of composting worms, that digest and makes its own castings,,, this is really going to help me take it to a whole new level!!! thank you

    John, If you don't yet know, Bragg's Liquid amino's and Nutritional yeast contain man made and NOT natural glutamate. Furthermore it is an excito-toxin. Glutamic acid or the "G" of MSG shows up in all commercial organic food and many other products. Common names are "natural flavors" "Yeast extract" "fortified" "enriched" "hydrolized" "citric acid" and many more! You might want to tell Josh to check into that.

    Open is how it should be. I wish more people realized this. If you can't tell me what's in it or how you make it, that is shady, not interested.
    A product should sell itself, not with gimmicks/trade secrets. I plan on making my own brew, but I will order a bag from Josh/BoogieBrew as a thanks and support their contribution to society, and if I don't feel like making it or don't have time I would order from them.

    Some of you guys are wound a bit tight. My God if you want to try the products then do it if not then don't . I'm not sure if rock dust works or not or if worm castings do or not. I just purchased both to give it a try. If they don't work I will not buy the again and I'm out 60 bucks. Most of you spend more than that at the bar in one night or on cigs. If they do work then you get your money back in plant production. This guy makes no money on a one time sale he wants repeat customers. Order a small package and try it. If gardening isn't fun for you and you are going to stress about all of this stuff then you might as well quit. Enjoy the journey guys or get off the bus. Keep up the good work John

My plants were amazing and the tea was my only fertilizer.I had Tomato plants that were 10 feet high. My only complaint was that I never planed to can, but I was forced into canning with the abundance of vegis. It is easy to use and organic so as you said use it or walk away but there is no need to negative.

    When it comes to Josh Obi Wan of Cannabis and his boogie brew I DONT F AROUND! In my 20 foot mound I dump the entire packages mixed up dry dumped dry onto the soil then water it in... I do this around late july when the cannabis plants are big! The plants love it and it turns my soil mound into a tea making factory everytime I water it till it runs out

    Great information. I am a bit overwhelmed with what I really need now. I live in Indianapolis, IN. Right now it's warm but soon it will be cold. I have 120 basil heirloom plants on an outside hydroponics system. I have a source of brown bat guano in ample supply. I haven't used it yet. Can I use it in a tea or do I have to get it to a drying bed first?

    Interesting combo for worm tea which I’m sure will make plants super happy. Only issue I have with this open source info is than the quantities of the ingredients in % add up to way mire than 100%, so not really open source but thanks anyway for the guidance

    Thanks for an incredible inside view and discussion of your product and for empowering people to be proactive in bettering the world, one garden at a time. Now to the technical question... I have taken over management of an urban vegetable farm. The previous manager used lime an 13.13.13 so long that there is a pH of 6.8-7.0 (not terrible), but there is very high calcium and phosphorous. Plants are showing zinc and iron deficiency. There is plenty of this in the soil, but it is "not available" to the plants. How would I need to modify the recipe to help my plants take up these nutrients? Woild I leave out the calcium phosphate? Are the rock dusts and cascade minerals sufficient to help this situation? THANKS!!!

    • @BoogieBrew
      @BoogieBrew 9 років тому +1

      Lots and lots of compost tea to help digest the excess salts....good biology always seems to thrive in an alkaline environment, so tea will help in that regard too...Yes, you could certainly leave out the calphos if you like....and rock dust will help to "balance" your soil. Adding molasses to the tea will probably be beneficial in your situation; should speed up iron intake. (Not sure about the zinc).

    I got my Boogie Brew and minerals. My first year gardening. Me and my fiancée have a bet going on who can grow the best garden. He believes in the old method of tilling and cow manure as he was raised on a farm when he was younger. I am going to do a raised bed and have already started some container herbs and already have seeds that have germinated of zucchini, arugula, mixed lettuce, watermelons, cherry tomatoes, green tomatoes and beets and they are all growing and I just seeded them 9 days ago. All heirloom seeds. Oh I planted 12 strawberry plants.

      As soon as they start to grow. We had a freak frost come through and stunted the growth of everything we planted. I am just crossing my fingers and praying they will produce now.

    Is the proprietor of Boogie Brew from Aus or NZ originally? I detect a slight accent but it's virtually unnoticeable to most. I've just traveled a lot and can usually pick up on the changes in a persons tone and I keep catching pieces of an accent.

    Would a shipment to Ontario, Canada also be shipping cost included.
    Sounds like a great price.
    Also....
    If I already have an airation system what would be the shipment cost without the pump and accessories?

    I'm wondering how to find out exactly what your soil actually needs to grow. How do I know, if I buy this stuff, whether I need more of something, or have too much of something.
    I live in Southern Colorado, where the last decade or so has brought mostly drought conditions and sand. The only thing that grows on my land so far is a huge crop of weeds! I've been told to plow them under, uproot them and put them into a compost heap, and just get them thrown out...so I'm actually totally confused as to what I need to do to get my soil ready for any type of gardening.
    Does your compost tea work with any type of soil, or will I have to have it tested first? AND, if I order the kit this time, does it come with everything, or just basic survival stuff for the land?
