Hi! Thanks for sharing your journey. I’m also on semaglutide. This is what my NP told me. Weigh under the same conditions at the same time on the same day every week to get the most accurate scale numbers. I weigh every Friday morning after using the restroom and before eating or drinking anything. If giving shot in the arm, inject on the back the arm on the “fattier” part so that you don’t accidentally get the med in a muscle. Best to have someone else inject there bc it’s hard to reach. If doing yourself, look in a mirror, put your arm straight up and then bend your arm backward so under and back of arm is facing the mirror and is more easily reached. Not trying to give unsolicited advice. Just sharing what my provider told me. Good luck! Glad you are feeling better!
Hope this works for you I’m 72 and I don’t go for any type of these procedures! You be safe and the best way is to walk, eat sensible and be on the right routine each day. And another thing I don’t think your heavy at all you look really nice when you model your outfits. I just worry about this kind of stuff injections like this. Sorry but I just want you to be safe and happy you’re a sweet young lady. 😊🌼
Absolutely. I feel sameway. Won't do anything like this for me.., hope those that don't careful..she does always look adorable, cute in things she trys on , models
Weigh in the morning before you eat or drink anything and after using bathroom. You will still have fluctuations, but more accurate than any other time.
I wish you the best of luck on this and pray it’s successful. I have read numerous clinical results of this med causing life changing gastrointestinal problems where patients can no longer eat and digest foods. Please be safe.
Candace my PCP told me to change what I was eating. It would help with the weight loss. Drink lots of water! Eat less carbs, pasta, potatoes, bread, rice. More veggies and meat, fish, chicken, turkey. I wish you the best of luck with your journey!❤️
I would say always weigh first thing in the morning after you use restroom with no clothes on, that will be more accurate or show maybe better numbers . I’m enjoying this journey you’re on. Blessings
Hi Candice! Thank you for sharing your weight loss journey with us. I have been on Wegovy now for 27 days and I’ve lost 11bs. I am the same height as you but started at 255. It’s so strange to me how everyone reacts differently to these types of meds. Within 4 hours of taking the first shot, I was nauseated and had a reduced appetite and it really hasn’t let up. I made the mistake of eating fast food ( bean and cheese burrito) the second week I was on the medication and vomited so badly that day. Now I am extremely careful now not to eat about any fried or heavy foods. Tomorrow I increase the dosage from .25 to .50. I am very nervous about the side effects increasing since I had such a fast reaction the first time I took the shot. I want to get down to 200 and then do the rest on my own. Besides nausea I get waves of extreme tiredness. Anyhow, I just wanted to share my experience with you and let you know I will be cheering you on from the sidelines.
I haven't found any people with the tired symptom! I am very tired 24-48 hours after an injection and I just started my 5th week. I agree with you about being careful with heavy or greasy foods. I got very nauseous but never vomited. Good luck to you!
Thank you for sharing and congratulations on your loss! My husband has type 2 diabetes and absolutely COULD NOT handle this drug class. He’s was so sick, vomiting, diarrhea, cramps, the sweats, headaches. So I was very very careful on increasing my dose and just trying to take it easy. I hope the benefits outweigh the side effects for you! Good luck! 🍀👍 💜
@@Gina8189 glad to know I’m not alone with the tiredness. I took the .50 shot at 8am this morning. It’s 3pm and so far I’m okay with the nausea. I did need to take around 1pm though. I wish you lots of success too!
@@TheCandiceChristina your poor hubby. Too bad the side effects for him were so bad. I’m sure he was disappointed that he couldn’t tolerate the meds. Thank you for taking the time to reply. I just love you and Taren. Your closeness reminds me so much of me and my sissy.
Thank you for sharing your weight loss journey. Weigh yourself at the same time each week, morning is best. I think you will see less fluctuating. I am 8:15 every Saturday. Also you just ate, heavier foods. This can all contribute to your plateau with a false weight gain. You may have lost last week. Also we your food journal, look at weeks that you had a success. What was different than this week? I found that even though I can have low fat cheese based on what my provider has on my meal plan . I cannot have low fat cheese. I gain fat not matter what! No weight loss during those weeks.
My digestion is definitely taking a hit, I deal with constipation and bloating so much my clothes don’t fit , I have now gained 2lbs since I started , and I’m about 2 weeks behind you , I don’t think I’m going to continue with this type of medication , my gut health needs to be fixed , I’m only eating 1000 calories a day and I still crave sweets and late evening snacks, good luck with your journey I will still continue to follow your progress ❤fromTX
I am on Mounjaro. I am 64. It is amazing not to want to eat and eat . I was never satisfied. Now I eat a bit and I am done . Glp1 works . 42 lbs down .
I am on week 2 on semiglutide and I’m down 15lbs I love it I give myself my injection in my stomach on wed night and I weight on wed nights I’ve only had a slight headache after injection both times other than that no side effects that god I was a sugar adduct and I don’t crave it at all so glad I started on this journey
Is Alan meds just a pharmacy or do they have online providers who can prescribe this medication for you? I don’t have a primary care doctor right now. Love your videos!!! Almost 3,000 subscribers 🎉!!!!!!! Nice work
The timing really does matter for your weight loss number. You want to be consistent when you do it for accuracy. Let's say saturday morning at 8 am, before you eat and after you poop lol Don't weigh yourself during the week, just that time.
The time of the day you weight definitely matters. Always way first thing in the morning, after the bathroom & before you eat, with very little clothing.
Has this changed a little of your female cycle? I apologize for asking personal questions, but my daughter’s cycle has changed big time, like bleeding more. I do know she’s going through pre-mentopause.
Actually I have noticed a longer cycle but the same amount of “period days”.. my usual cycle is 21-23 days but I’ve been noticing it’s been around 28-30 days. I’m not worried about it though. I hope your daughter is just going through the natural pre-meno cycle.
I ALWAYS weigh in the morning, before I eat or drink, after I use the restroom, and with no clothes on. It definitely makes a difference when you weigh at different times of the day. Also, you might want to consider using 1,500 cal/day as your goal. I want you to be successful! Losing weight is the BEST feeling!
I can tell that some of my clothing items feel more comfortable. The bloating I had before is almost all gone and that feels amazing! The bugs are so bad in the evenings that I really can only work outside in the early mornings until lunch time. I can’t wait for fall! 🧡

Thank you for that suggestion! I knew all these videos would pay off! 😂
Now to go back through them and find those exact foods. 😅
You're doing it and I'm so proud of you!!

Oh no! You gotta trust yourself and take care of your health first. I’m sorry you’re not feeling well. Thank you for still supporting me. 🖤
Are you going to Ireland too?
Unfortunately, I’m not. Taren and Brian are going to have the BEST time! 💚

Yay!! I’m so glad to hear that! Congratulations on 15lbs!! 😘
Always weigh the same time of day each time. Also, I weigh everyday to keep up with what I’m doing and if I need to adjust my eating more.

They’re the company that provides the education and access to the Dr who writes your prescription. A different pharmacy ships it.
1600 to 1800 calories a day is like a good amount. Defecit, but not too low. Keep up the good work.
Yes! Thank you! ☺️

Your apoetite changes in this heat.
That makes perfect sense, I don’t know why I never thought of this. 💗

Are you paying out of Pocket. Our did your insurance pay that stuff is expensive
My insurance doesn’t cover any weight loss meds. I’m partnering with Alan Meds to get the GLP1 shot from them.
My friend took Ozempic and she got diarrhea and vomiting. She said it wasn’t worth it!
I took it for diabetes and the vomiting was awful. I will never take it again. I even cringe at the name
My husband was the same way! He can’t even think about it. I’ve been perfectly well taking it. 🤷♀️
Hopefully your not doing yard wfk in the middle of day. Early .morning & evening..
Also cant you see /feel the difference in your clothes?
