Losing lives of many chimpanzees for 1 man cub it is speciesism until that child was yours.
If a man child and a chimpanzee baby are tied and a chimpanzee is directed to help anyone, chimpanzee would help the chimpanzee baby only if it's his baby.
Man is special so we can think 6 is larger than 1 a chimpanzee may not do that.
That is why c ravichandran's views are far from freethinking.....
We rescue chimpanzees because they are vulnerable, humans are not.
Let the net effect caused due to death as (number of death) divided by (number of population)
In case of chimpanzees numerator is high and denominator is low
So net effect of death will be high compared to man.
And last as a man I can reproduce one man child if 1 is dead but can't reproduce a chimpanzee baby
That is why c ravichandran's views are far from facts.

@@nandagopals5608 what nonsense r u talking about? Man in no special... Human is also an animal. Jus bcoz we can think morally and logically doesn't mean a human will essentially save 6 chimps instead of a human baby.
As per ur logic, human can make chimps breed and make more chimp babies.
What does free thinking have to do with all this in the first place???
There is no point in calculating net effect of death and it will not be one dimensional as u jus said.
Haven't u heard of Israel released 1000 plus prisoners for their one soldier? Thats the fact of the matter.

Man is special so we have to save chimpanzee.
Chimpanzees are to be saved because they are vulnerable compared to man.
Look at the population of man and chimpanzees.
Let the total effect caused due to death can be calculated as number of died divided by total population
In case of chimpanzees numerator is big denominator is less compared to man, so total effect caused due to death is large for chimpanzees.
And last , if we loose one man child as a man I can give you 6 man child but if we loose 6 chimpanzees I can't give you atleast 1 chimpanzee baby.
