In 1800, Madame Adélaïde died in Trieste, shortly after her younger sister Victoire (1799). Joseph Fouché, 1st Duc d'Otrante, 1st Comte Fouché ( 21 May 1759 - 25 December 1820) was a French statesman, revolutionary, and Minister of Police under First Consul Napoleon Bonaparte, who later became a subordinate of Emperor Napoleon. In 1816 he was proscribed and Fouché died in exile in Trieste in 1820.
Trieste has a very interesting history, and is a really must visit city. I have been there, it is a city different from all other Italian cities. Thank you for this excellent informative video.
