me personally, i think this is absolutely fine. its an optional thing to either buy and (if you can grind for it) it exists so you have more reason to play the game. it can probably be a good thing as it will help sustain the games longevity if you can grind for medals. otherwise, i agree, it might not be good. on terms of characters, i dont mind that either since they're optional and if you got the premium or deluxe versions, you will get 'Character Pass Vol 1: World beyond 1, World beyond 2' and i think its better then hiding them behind a gacha and since its optional, i again understand the fustration but it makes sense. overall, i think its absolutely fine that they make paid dlc as it can help with the game's lifespan, especially if they add more free content along side the paid stuff.

I usuakly think this game could be like the xenoverse 2 of SAO. I mainly say that tho cuz of the potential for the potential of dlcs for characters and story stuff
Yeah since characters are giving story quest im pretty sure so it will probably be like that
I mean i dont think theyre having money problems, theyve released mainline SAO subsequent games for 3 years in a row now (this being the third.) i think the shop is more of just a fanservice thing. Im definitely going to buy regardless, especially if they have a wedding dress for Strea 😂 .
The thing is though, idk why but it seems like SAO games never gain much traction. Tbh what it needs is for it to be viral or something. It seems like Bandai Namco likes to invest in SAO video games.
Dimps has only made two sao games that being SaoFB and SaoFD, LR and AL are made by aquaria who also made HR. But a lot of sao fans are accustomed to customization for a good amount its a problem for them that's why the store might be a make or break for them (not everyone) I'm still playing it
Sao is just largely more popular in the east than it is in the west sadly and since bandai doesn't want to promote it as much as bleach and Dbz which really sucks
@@SusaTheSusPG yeah makes sense. And if there's any Sao game that needs more customization it has to be this one. Bec it's multiplayer and ull be playing with a some clones sometimes. So it's nice to have a shop at least and make it stacked with so many good outfits too. I think it's fine as long as it's all cosmetics and appearance and nothing that affects gameplay. Altho it did say some items will have their own ultimate skills or something. We just have to wait and see.
That's not new they did the same thing in Fatal bullet. You can get cosmetics & weapons & etc by getting medals in the game
sure you can but you can't buy dlc in FB with those medals and the medals can not be paid for so im comparing it to breakers because its the most comparable one besides xenoverse 2 so since it functions differently than FB i would call it NEW

It’s not the Fatal Bullet one they are using, the SAO Medals are legit the SAO coins from AL, I don’t see at all where this is bad tbh since it’s only cosmetic and completely optional, hopefully they add more to this game than they did in AL tho

Sure the cosmetics are completely optional but its a LIVE SERVICE GAME so to get more out of the game after you finish the story you would have to pay for dlc or wait for updates thats why I want the shop to be good so people can have more stuff to grind for in between patches because we can always grind for items and gear
