@@necro723 No, in the Dawn of Souls remake there's an extra story that takes place in heaven which revealed that when the Emperor was killed his soul split into 2, with one half going to hell and the other half going to heaven, which also succeeds in taking over the realm just like he took over hell.
just finished an unofficial porting of FF2 on My Nokia N95 Symbian S60 . without the blood sword toad and lv 5 Ultima ,wich i never used during the fight. just Maria doing , Fury +Aura on Firion ,MBarrier with Guy Leon just sitting there doing pretty much nothing a true spectator. and Firion didnt just killed the Emperor he Obliterated him ...he sent the Emperor in the realm of shadow plus destroyed the realm of shadow 3k dmg from off hand only 5 turns ...not even a fight a BOSS DELETION session. ;D Note: started that game on my Nokia back in 2007 and finished today . 12 YEARS later i'm still an huge fun .
I Defeat this Final Boss in 3 Turns with Solo Maria with All Skills,Spells,Evasion and Magic Defense with Level 16(Holy ,Flare and Ultima too) and the Strength,Stamina,Agility,Spirit,Intelligence and Magic at 99. It Took me 2 MONTHS to Level Up Everything.
@@crystalwater505 Use bug. Prepare command for your spell choice until the command at the fourth character a.k.a Leon, undo it and do it over again. I don't know if this bug still appliable in PSP version but in PS 1 version it is and will save your MP
I didn't use the Blood Sword. I used the Ancient Sword on my first time beating this game. It has low Accuracy but once it hits and curses the Emperor it's over lol
I also didnt use blood sword. I used masamune on Firion and before i came to the bosses, i bought 15 berserk tome and i spammed it only to Firion. And guess what? Easy 9999 damage.
Didn't know Ancient Sword could actually curse the Emperor, knowing he's immune to it...! Gotta give it a shot, next time. I just beat the game with just bare hands on every character, lol.
I must say the fact that after beating the Emperor he defeats the Devil and becomes King of Hell and then you must beat him again after he gained this huge power... Still a good twist.
And then you finish Soul of Rebirth, and find out he lost not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES to those "insects". He truly is pathetic, and I love that
+Bogyman Noobman It is, but only against the final boss, using it against a regular enemy does very little damage since it only has 24 attack, and attacking an undead enemy with it heals it and damages you.
So interesting thing i did this final fight. I used Firion (basically as my black mage) spell that absorbs mp (it was at lvl7 spell) and it took ALL of the demon emperor's mp. So he was only hitting me physical dmg, but they hit like a dump truck to everyone but Firion(he took like 500dmg on him but the rest was 2000-4000dmg so lots of healing cycling almost endless for 20 minutes). I kept using elixers (had like 12) so felt endless, till i ran out of elixers. Luckily had like 50 Phoenix downs. So what ended up happening i kept rezzing Maria (white mage) with P down so shed heal Firion as Firion kept using Flare 7 (gave like 900dmg i think) while emperor would heal average 500hp...yeah needless to say the fight was annoying but felt good once i beat him first try
I finally finished FF2 tonight (it was the only one i didnt finish from the classics because i never liked the leveling system) and mu god this boss is hard, i had missed the blood sword, and my only character that dealt damage to the emperor was Firion 1300 HP per turn, and had 7000 hp with all party member but Leon that was 1600, i just wanted to have the emperor cast magic because every melee attack was doing 2000/3000 hp, and cure 16 only heals about 1000hp. My buffs were all lv1 so it was pretty difficult.
And I did the same, with berserk tome that I had bought in hidden store in jade passage. I bought 15 tome and use them to firion only who held masamune and excalibur

The Cloudy Nimbus I'm afraid not. The only ds remakes we got were for final fantasy 3 and 4. Final fantasy 2 was remade on the gba, psp, and the ps1 though.
It's funny you use Flare which only deal around 300 with Maria when you can spam Berserk to overbuff Firion attack. The problem in FF II magic system is buff can be stacked so even when you are still early as long as you survive, you can even damage Dark Flan who have 255 Defense through normal Attack and this strategy also work for boss. Making offensive spell except Ultima on Minwu seems worthless especially the time you put to leveling it
LMAO the only spell u need to take him down is berserk and not even that high of a level. I just had 2 attackers and 2 members spamming berserk (since it has a cumulative effect) and he went down pretty quickly. also his dispel doesnt get rid of berserk. i had maria use the healing rods as needed
Actually having too much hp is kind of bad since the end game many of the enemies have a drain effect including the emperor. Though it gets a little more fun and challenging if you do it that way.

Thats what spells are for, the levelling system sucks so much but it can help you a lot if you have high level spells

I did Guy 2 axe both left and right his evasion is lacking because of that leech attack or drain his damage taken was at its maximum 9999😅

Haste + Berserk do wonders for these characters, not to mention that Berserk stacks up with multiple castings.
