Hello! Thank you for this video. I just wanted to ask if the requirements of the courses are all the same for every kinds of students? I’m an international student from Russia, and in my country we simply do not have any “advanced” or AP courses. Actually we can’t even choose which courses to take. They are all the same for everyone. However, it doesn’t mean that I didn’t challenge myself during the school time. So would it be a drawback if my application does not consist any intensive classes in it?
I’m planning to graduate 10th grade. What do you think I need to do to really show I’m ready for college rigor? Anything else I should do to secure my chances at the top universities as best I can?
Really enjoy the quality content you're putting out year after year for high school seniors who need these uncommon, valuable pieces of advice! I have a quick question: Would taking AP Psychology instead of AP Physics C in my senior year affect how colleges view my rigor for an economics and computer science major, given I then wouldn't take a science class senior year but have completed four year-long science courses?
Hi have you heard of the MITES Semester program? Do you know how much it helps for college admissions? Also should I place Prom Prince and Homecoming Court as an award?
Those are the explicit criteria they will admit to. There are more unwritten criteria they mask in code words or imply. They are looking for diversity of physical appearance but conformity to a pretty narrow worldview.
Best advice for HS students applying to college. It's complete and actionable with lots of free resources and guides
Thank you!

Nope, you can explain this in the Additional Information Section (and it won't count against you).

It will depend on the college, but generally speaking, one wouldn't necessarily be "better" than the other.
Thanks for the amazing video!! Is it still possible to apply to medical school for the 2024 session, or have admissions closed?
Depends on the schools you're considering! Check on their websites directly for the most accurate admission/application information.
nice video!!!
