@rev.randall2292 yes sir. She rides pretty nice even with camelback springs under her. It wasn't always this nice though. I added a superliner cab air suspension, and it made a huge difference in ride quality. The old rubber mount cab was a bucking bronco.
Nice video man I just subscribe to your channel. Do you think you could please see if you could do a three or four hour ASMR video of you driving this truck and include engine start up before departure and if you can hammer down on the Excelerator cause I love hearing that thanks man stay safe and have a blessed one.
@kleetus92 I think you arr seeing the air ride cab lean back from the acceleration forces. The hood rests on rollers so the cab can pivot just below the cowl. If you watch my walk around video it will show what in talking about
these were good trucks
Mack's were some good ole rides!🙂
I MISS THAT SOUND SO MUCH .
HAD ALOT OF FUN IN THOSE DAYS.
Now that is how to enjoy a classic ride. No big horsepower but it is reliable and tuff!
Love the whine of a bad ass tip turbine
Boy , for bobtail that looks like it rides smooth.

Interesting place to put the turn signal indicator.
@SOU6900 that's the factory location on late 80s r models. I put a newer dash panel in with the turn signal indicator
Why does the hood flex every time you change gears or add power?

@@Maddogtrucking Ah, ok that would explain it... I was 'pretty sure' you didn't have a cracked frame! lol!
@kleetus92 lol. No cracks in the frame! The camera was also mounted high up on the rear window so it probably cought more movement. But good eye!
I'd rather have a good R Model MACK like this, than all the hybrid MACK/Volvo crap trucks they make now...... just my opinion.
Mach den Blinker aus!
285 HP....' WALKIN THE DOG ???".
MY STARTER HAS MORE H.P.
What a joke.
