OMG... Watching this in 4K was so amazing. That razor looks absolutely beautiful. Great lather as always.
I filmed this soap 2 days ago and is in the queue. Don't laugh at my pronunciation at the beginning of the video when I upload it. Google gave me bad info. Found out the correct way when reading the website.... lol.

Haha I think I saw some of it I have to finish it. It’s a great and underrated scent imo! Thanks man . And yes 4K FTW 😎

To beat a blackbird you need a WR2 1.45 or higher in my opinion . It’s crazy how efficent the blackbird is

Yeah I think I agree! Super efficient which is why it’s in the top 3!

Another great video John. I’ll shout you a pic of my titanium blackbird that I polished up. I just have to polish everything. Turned out pretty good.

Love the Blackbird Ti. Shane from Blackland assures me that Blackbird is more refined and controlled than Rockwell 6C/S. But I went for Nodachi instead because its minimalist aesthetics has grown on me. After using Nodachi, I truly know what Shane was talking about. These CNC machined razor is on a whole different level than injection molded razor because they have tighter tolerances. Although people mentioned how Nodachi is aggressive, but it is much smoother to me compared to 6C. Blackbird scares a lot of people away, but now I won't be afraid of it.

Nodachi is a great razor I don’t think you could go wrong with either . Yeah the blade rigidity & toght tolerances i think is what partly plays that a role and providing a smoother shaving experience

Really enjoyed watching you shave with my goat razor! I’m happy you got your hands on one. Also, I’ve always wanted to try this scent

Thanks Erik! I’m enjoying it every time I pick it up. It’s my favorite B&M scent from the regular line besides Seville

Great shave John! I've only tried the Vector, but I love that razor. Great shave, the B and M soaps are fantastic, just looking at ordering Cologne Russe, may have to give this a run as well, really like their bay rum and Seville. I get frag burn from certain artisans as well, hate that, as some of their scents are incredible and the soap base is awesome. Have a good weekend. Cheers

Yes that’s a good point - how does it compare to the Vector? That would be interesting.

@@chrisruss8332 to me it’s a little more efficient than the vector . Depending on the blade used I felt the vector had a little more blade feel although some disagree with me on that .for me I think it has to do with the thickness of the artist club blade. Both are great all around razors for sure.

Thanks brotha! I did enjoy cologne russe soap but not the splash for some reason but I guess that’s how it goes sometimes. I enjoy most of the B&M scent for sure . Take care

I'm super surprised you mentioned you like the blade clamping. It looks like the bottom baseplate is so far away from the edge of the blade that the blade clamping looks terrible. Interesting!

New satin finish just released. Question is, is this still in your top 3? If not, what is?

Just got the Konsul and drakkant but still putting them through their paces. It’s really hard to say man. If it’s not top 3 it’s top 5 easily. I’ve been enjoying the Blutt and Overlander the most lately just waiting for the steel and Ti versions

Hey John, gotta ask you about soap this time. I am looking at BM Le Grand Chypre and BM 42, both are kinda the same theme, floral and citrus? I live in Malaysia where it is all year summer/rainy, so I don't understand like you mention 42 being a spring soap either. Which one do you recommend?
