Been using the black oxide Blackbird for years and agree 100% with your tips for using it. It takes a few attempts to dial it, but once it is you will get amazing shaves. I used to have a modest collection of DE razors, but I have sold them all. I used to be constantly on the lookout for the next new razor. Not any more. When I can get a perfect shave from the Blackbird, why do I need anything else?
My Blackbird literally arrived an hour ago in the mail. I got the standard model with the stand and Lite baseplate add-on. I was a little skeptical spending this much for a DE razor but just finished my first shave and the hype is real. Very smooth close shave even with the Lite baseplate. I look forward to each experience getting better and better. Thanks for living up to your reputation!
I've been using this razor (safety bar) for five days now. It gives a great shave. I have been using a less aggressive razor for many years. I have a preference for taking three passes. The Blackbird gives me just as close a shave with two passes (plus a half pass for j-hooking my checks). While I do miss the full three passes, the Blackbird gives much more audial feedback which I really like. Very well done!
I was currently using a Henson AL razor, but the brass Blackbird has become my favourite razor. I love the weight of it , the finish. I find that it also gives me a very smooth finish. I have many razors in my collection merkur, Rockwell's, vikings blade, Henson etc but the blackbird will be the one that I will use for my shaves. Absolutely love this razor ❤️🪒.
@@blacklandrazors it was much better when I slow down and not treat the razor as if it were an Overlander. Now to justify purchasing a Blackbird in Ti,,,,,,,ha ha.
Shane based on all the extremely positive reviews of your product, I am laying down my adjustable and purchasing your Blackbird Ti. I'm excited and a bit apprehensive in using a razor with a high degree of blade feel.
Thanks for your order, Wally! We’re confident you’ll love it. Don’t be afraid to use pressure to your advantage if needed. For more on that, check out the Benefits of Titanium Razors video.
@@blacklandrazors thanks Shane. I was torn between the Lite and the regular Ti. But since I use the Rex Ambassador, I felt I could handle the razor feel of the Blackbird Ti. Can you tell me how long does it usually take to get the razor once ordered?
I think you’ll enjoy the standard plate, but you can always change your mind! If the razor is satin finish (non-anodized) it will ship next business day via USPS priority (if you’re in the US). Domestic shipping is usually 2-3 business days depending on location.
Just got mine yesterday in polished SS with the 105mm handle and got an amazing shave. Awesome razor Shane!! only question I have is is there any way to exchange the 105mm handle for an 85mm?
Just waiting on payday so I can order my Black Oxide Blackbird. I'm looking at a s/h version as importing new from the USA to the UK is a pain not to mention expensive. I've been used to ATT and more recently Timeless and Karve. Will the Blackland cure my RAD? who knows but I'm looking forward to using one.
M☀️great video as always!! I like this extra focus you are putting on you flagship DE razor. It would be of great value for me to see a visual comparison of the old and new titanium finish. On the actual pics and videos is hard to see any big difference. I also would like to know how to rewanp a nick or scratch on the new titanium finish. All the best to you all at Blackland!
I have never used a Blackbird but I do not understand about "more on the top cap" situation... Every time I try to use my any razor like this, the blade stars diving to my skin... And I switch angle to more on the safety bar.
The Blackbird has a different head geometry than most razors and shaves at shallower angle. So leaning on the top cap more doesn't have the same effect on the Blackbird as it might on other razors.
Greetings to alla wet shavers! I am going to order the hand made leather case for the blackbird. So i could not find some dimensions of blackbird with 85 mm handle so to pass them to the leather tailor. Can any body help me with that? Because my blackbird on its way to me. And i whish to obtain the case for blackbird in prior.

That was one wonderful video. Exactly the points that need to be known by a new user, have been explained with clarity. Thanks!
Glad it helped!
You video is great, simple, easy to understand, you did well.

Glad to hear it, Jeff! Thank you!

Great results! That's exactly what we're looking for with the Blackbird - same result with less time with the blade on your skin.
Just received my brass blackbird. Going to try it out this weekend.
Looking forward to a great shave.
Awesome! We hope you love it!
