I feel old. I got my fist ps1 when I was 5 or something. Then it broke, and I got 2 ps2's then eventually I got ps3, then it broke and I got another one. Then I got psp randomly, And I got my ps4 two weeks ago! :) Playstation is love, Playstation is life.
Shadow Zylo I have a ps1 aswell, but it's inconvenient to take out every time i want to play it, and ps1 doesn't look great on modern lcd televisions. I see no reason why backwards compatibility would be a problem. Also i don't get the "It's 2015" statement.

Wow, that start up sound and logo of the PS1, sure brings back a lot of good memories. But one thing I miss the most, was the fact, you put in the game disc, and off you go. Not having to be online to authenticate the game, not having to download updates and day one patches, the game just ran. I've owned a PS1, PS2 slim, and now still enjoy my PS3. Once there are a few "must have games" for the PS4, I'll buy one ;-)
It's weird that Sony didn't want to get into the video game business, but 20 years later they created some of the most memorable gaming experiences in history. It's really hard to think of one brand Sony created and not think of Playstation, thank you Sony.
I guess you didnt see the Uncharted 4 trailer...and by the way the PS4 full potential will be unlocked after 2-3 years that has been released so in other words from end 2015 - beginning of 2016 you will see how big the gap it is from the PS3

Trust me, the PS4 has yet to show it's true colors... give it some time it just practically came out! That system has 7 years of technological advancement jammed right in there.
7 yrs of advancements but no dlna? no external media support? Worse online and not free anymore? Games missing huge features the PS3 versions have like NHL. I kinda regret buying my PS4.
I remember the first PlayStation I ever touched was a PS2. The game? Gran Turismo 4 :). There it was, sitting atop the TV unit abandoned by my parents, so I took it down, plugged it in and played with it for a while. #memories
Ah.. such great memories. The first PS1 came to my parents house around 1998. Where Resident Evil 2 was the first game we ever owned. And those scary moments of Silent Hill. As I slowly owns the whole Sony's game console from PS1 up to PS4. Those childhood memories shall I forever treasure. Happy 20th Anniversary Playstation!!! :3

PS1 and 2 were best but the startup for ps1 was the best because of that epic sound. And please make another Ape escape game based on Ape Escape 1 universe.

The jump from PS1 to PS2 was incredible. Same for the jump from PS2 to PS3. The jump from PS3 to PS4 however is virtually non-existent!
