Quick tip on preventing leaks - loctite. Use low strength (purple or blue) so it’s removable. Use that and you won’t have any leaks and you don’t even have to tighten it that much.

🔥🔥 I like the aluminum blocks. They have the threaded holes in them. I’m in love with copper tubing throughout my shop at home but I do like those aluminum blocks with a threaded holes. I guess you could call them manifolds great job keep up the good work I’m sure that you feel beautiful cabinets. 🔥🔥👍👍👍

I have a similar systemin my garage, and I have it attached to two air hose reels, and when I installed it, I put drops all over the place to make life easier.
Good job. You should defiantly think about installing a hose reel.

I guess I was lucky. We had the hoses hanging from above and they were heavy enough that they would stay coiled up if there was extra slack.

That sounds awesome. We’ve got 30 foot ceilings so that’d be tough but over head sounds good.

Good job for not doin it before. Best way if it doesnt inferfere with anythin overhead is to run it in the ceiling rafters and above each bench install a self retracting hose reel. You can buy them with 50 75 and 100 ft hose already on them. That way your lines are up above and out of the way. Your hose you use everyday is above each bench and can be pulled down and rolled up out of the way when not in use. No fallin over hoses on the floor and they roll up when you need to clean up. As far as tightening your brass fittings npt fittings are tapered and get larger diameter the further up the threads. Best sealer to use is plumbing pipe dope. Saves time over thread taping and will not leak. Once you put the dope on the threads it will lubricate tightening. Run them in by hand and then tighten with an end wrench so your not rounding them off. Tighten it until its snug with minimal pressure turning the wrench. The taper and the dope seal them well and really your only needing about 20ft-lbs of force. You feel it get snug and thats all they need. Hose reels tho are the best investment for shop air. They can be mounted sideways. Upside down or wherever you need them. Just make sure to use lag bolts(predrilled holes. Always.)if your mounting to wood.

I don’t think size of shop matters. I’m putting this in my garage. And before I moved I was planning to put this in my 10x12 shed shop.

If you don't care about looks, this stuff is awesome, if you want a clean look, buy the sticks of aluminum. I'm yet to see a system that looks good with this stuff.

Great job dude, you should definitely use a different hose from the line to the compressor, I would make a connection with steel braided hose to your line then anchor your line down and connect the braided hose to the compressor because that stuff isn’t meant to move as much as it will when directly connected to the compressor but other wise it looks clean

Yep. OSHA will make you fix it. Can’t use plastic lines for above ground compressed air.

Why buy max line when amazon has plenty of kits half the price

Awesome setup. Had the same spaghetti in my small shop. I installed a retractable reel (the yellow 50 foot one from HF) and it’s a game changer. Thanks for your great vids!

Retractable wheels scare me 🤣 let that hose go with enough speed and you could get smacked with the chuck and draw blood
