As someone who has watched Kev create from scratch and then rhyme over his beat, he needs to be applauded much more! He is beyond dope at what he does. Peace to Kev and Mackey for the show they put on at Silk City in Philly about 5 years ago. Mackey made me bring my A game. Both you brothers are legends. Peace to Digital Hustle and Gadget. Peace to the Population!!!!

+Loop Ferrigno y'all are crazy man.. If you know how to freak your machine you can sample off UA-cam with no problem.. I have 5000 records that cost me over 100 dollars a month for storage and I been E-digging lately.. Guarantee you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Rookies will make garbage no matter what resource they use... Experts will make magic happen with any resource.

Mr America yes, it's too easy. I don't judge. Everybody should make music, how they want to make music. I don't sample from youtube, because
      A) Sound: the quality of vinyl is way superior. Even HD is compressed during the upload process on youtube.
      B) Aesthetic: I want the beautiful raw and crispy vinyl sound, because I love Golden Era Hip Hop.
      C) Respect: If I use music from a fellow Musician/ artist to make my own music, I don't wanna steal it from the internet. at least, I wanna buy his art and work, before I use it for myself.
      D) Culture: i'm old. I'm a Hip Hop head since the beginning (1979). I love the old way of making Hip Hop. I love digging for vinyl gold. Searchin for your own sample with my favorite LP's on my headphones, talking to other music fans. It's awesome. I love digging. It's Hip Hop for me. I don't like to spend my time at home a clicking through youtube like a teenie.
      E) Creativity: ilimitations are soooo important for my creativity! I don't want to be able to samle EVERY FCKIN SONG on youtube. if I buy a record, I make a few out of it. Sometimes is harder, sometimes it's easier. But that's how I grow as a Beatmaker. It's not the sample that makes you great, it's how you use the limitations to created something new and beautiful.
But I don't wanna diss all the youtube "digger". It's a new generation. It's their choice and voice. I'm old school and i love it that way. Do what makes you happy.

+Loop Ferrigno A) sound: you're sampling into a sampler anyways.. That's analog to digital conversion. Your sampler is not analog, as much as people like to think so.. So what's the difference between someone sending me a folder of wav's as opposed to me ripping the wav's myself? Either way it's ending up in a digital format..

@@nobass5756 as you got an mpc i reccomend two channels.
Verysickbeats.... he'll open your eyes about even the old machines but i think most of the techniques are pretty universal.
      Marlow Digs is also amazing.
I watch these two guys and I aint even got an mpc anymore. I'm using Ableton Push 2 but i find ways to apply their techniques to my machine.
Good luck. 16 levels is very powerful.
