  • I traveled just over 3 hours north of where I live in Washington state to Merritt, BC to visit Chase @EdisonMotors . I wanted to see what all of the buzz was about their Diesel/Electric Hybrid.

Diesel-electric propulsion is nothing new. It was used already in the 1930's. Almost all big cruise ships - and even smaller ships today use the system and here we talk about really big power. Some big earthmoving machines also use it. Like on locomotives - a lot more practical than mechanical drive and more fuel efficient than hydrostatic drive.
But without batteries you don't have a hybrid.

You do not lose torque with an extension as a rule, yes it does affect an impact gun because of how an impact makes it’s torque, but a vehicle does not have an impact as an engine so they do not suffer the same loss with a driveshaft.

    Zero emissions is a fantasy.
And I don’t think I know of a truck that is used 4 or 5 years and thrown it away. Causes me to wonder where the old trucks we love came from……

Sometimes I wonder if they know what they want ? It comes across as a little weird to me ? First she starts out driving dump trucks on the show , then you hardly ever see her in dump trucks anymore. She buys a bunch of stuff then on
One of her previous episodes she says how their truck business is or might be in trouble financially. Then she buys a party business. And she did that one episode where she buys that super kenworth. Now she is in Canada looking at hybrid trucks. Then her husband crashes the truck. The show feels like it has no rym or reason at times. Most people that run dump trucks run dump trucks they don’t jump all over the place

Most of my content is dump trucking content. It’s real hard to make trucking content when your truck is in the shop. I never said my business was in trouble. It’s actually doing very well even with the set back. Luckily I planned for a slow winter. I wouldn’t have made a video about starting another business if everyone had not asked. I’m an entrepreneur, I’m always going to be working on something in addition to dump trucking. It’s really going to blow your mind when you see what’s coming.

@nathanmacdonald6696 Some people only read every other line, hear or understand every other sentence and draw their own strange conclusions based on that. This is probably what this comment is about🤣. Jotkut lukevat vain joka toisen rivin, kuulevat tai ymmärtävät joka toisen lauseen ja tekevät omat omituiset johtopäätöksensä sen perusteella. Tästä lienee kyse tässä kommentissa🤣.
