  • As a leader, one of the most important responsibilities we have is to ensure our staff is developing.
    One of the best ways to develop employees is to watch their behavior.
    How do you respond when you notice employee behavior that could either hinder or accelerate their career?
    Do you say nothing? (This isn't ideal, and I've been guilty of this more times than I can count.)
    Do you point out the behavior that might be a constraint, to their career?
    Do you point out the behavior that is a catalyst, to their career?
    The best version of ourselves as leaders ensures that employees hear a healthy balance of both. Unsure if you're out of balance? Ask your employees and some trusted friends for feedback.
