You're A Unicorn
Quoting Ryan and Chase Biehl, Owners of Biehl Brothers, regarding Trade Partners (AKA Subs).
Being skilled at their craft is just the basic requirement for a trade partner to work with our clients. If they're also great with people, that's an added bonus. But if they’re running a highly professional and top-notch business in every way, that makes them exceptional-a "unicorn" in the industry.
We're helping our fellow trades owners become unicorns-exceptional, top-performing companies-until they’re no longer the exception but the standard.

AG Staff Development
Переглядів 714 днів тому
Alluring Glass is fully committed to developing our staff. In fact, 19 out of our 24 employees had no prior experience doing the type of work they do at AG. This means we had to train them from the ground up. While we don't claim to be perfect at training, we have trained many employees and are willing to share what we've learned. We often tell our younger staff that to excel in their careers, ...
How Do We Develop Our Staff?
Переглядів 1314 днів тому
Having been in the trades for over 18 years, I've realized that developing our staff is crucial to building a sustainable business. While Alluring Glass doesn’t claim to be perfect at staff development, we do invest a significant amount of time and money into it. As of August 24th, 19 out of our 24 excellent employees had never performed the work they now do at AG before joining us. Obviously, ...
Observing Behavior
Переглядів 1721 день тому
As a leader, one of the most important responsibilities we have is to ensure our staff is developing. One of the best ways to develop employees is to watch their behavior. How do you respond when you notice employee behavior that could either hinder or accelerate their career? Do you say nothing? (This isn't ideal, and I've been guilty of this more times than I can count.) Do you point out the ...

Speaking Truth

Pleasantries: When are they not needed? With those, you know, like, and trust. We waste a whole lot of time exchanging pleasantries when we could just ‘’cut to the chase’’. If I know you intend to help me, and I like you and trust you, you don’t need to spend time ‘’softening your comments’’. Just tell me and I’ll just tell you! How about that? Conversely, if I don’t know you like you or trust ...

Sustainability: Can’t get sick, take a vacation, or die and have the business produce. 2. Manage: Not enough business, or too much business. So valuable to have clear vision for the bigger picture of where we’re headed in building businesses!

Love the vision for a much more meaningful life and purpose for your business. I imagine there are a lot of burnt out, exhausted business owners that would be rejuvenated if they heard this and took the time to build a plan for a legacy business.

Hey Ford! Overwhelm and survival mode are common for many of my friends, who own businesses. Conduit intends to ''disrupt them'' long enough to get their attention, cast a vision for building a Legacy Business, and emphasize that we will relentlessly help them develop their business. Ownership is so incredibly lonely and when we get along side owners, you can see the twinkle of hope regenerated in their eyes!

That is beautifully expressed, Jerry. It's an amazing feeling to be among peers who "get" who we are and what we're carrying.

Some people are very confident in their abilities but not competent in their abilities. They are usually what one would call, arrogant and are the hardest ones to reach, correct, or rebuke.
