...you know what? Whether or not you're a fan of the game, you probably have heard of the Big The Cat cameos. If you don't, well, do some research. It's pretty well-known. Just saying. :)

The cameos should have been kept in all versions because they give Big a wonderful trait of normal cats: the ability to get where they are not supposed to be, against all logic or reason.
Is there a list of Gamecube appearances? I haven't seen one and I only know of 2 or 3 offhand.

16:07 I remember seeing this out of nowhere after numerous playthroughs, and I just went "WHAT!? Did I imagine that?" Then I replayed the level, and he didn't show up, so I just kept reloading it until he showed up again, and it was so bizzare.
We can now observe between 12:10 and 12:45 that Big is the true fastest being alive.
12:13 had me laughing a lot harder than it should have.

Download and install the SA2 Mod Loader here: info.sonicretro.org/SA2_Mod_Loader Once you've placed all the files inside the Sonic Adventure 2 directory, there should be a program. Open it and check off "Shadow Has Bounce Bracelet" in the Codes tab.

I can't tell you how satisfying this video is to watch. As someone who grew up with the GC version, I remember going on like IGN, GameFaqs, and Supercheats as a kid and seeing tons of posts saying, "Big the Cat can be found here...", with no photographic proof or anything. After a while I just thought they were trolling. They would get my hopes up, just to have them crushed when I would search high and low and not find Big anywhere (besides by mashing buttons in a few cutscenes). Even once I was older and found more documentation on how Big was only in the DC version, and was replaced with inaccessible rings in the GC version, I just felt gypped.
Thank you for making this video, and I'm glad Big was added back in to what appears to be the definitive version of this game.
Wow, no problem! I was pretty confused myself, since I also grew up with the GC version, but I VERY vaguely remember trying to trigger the cutscene cameos, but whether they were successful or not has completely left my memory at this point. I’m not the first one to go over this, and I’ve been told that there are other cutscene cameos in the PC version that I missed (there was one in the first hero cutscene that I couldn’t trigger, though, so take that with a grain of salt) but I’m always glad for people to get a lot of good stuff out of my content!
P.S. Most people say the Dreamcast version is the “definitive” version, but I grew up with the GC, so I don’t care that much.
You missed a couple.Knuckles's Egg Quarters has Big in a different place in Hard mode,on the opposite side of the generator,Tails can find him in Hard mode on Mission street at the end where he "accidentally" drops a part of the road, and Sonic can find him on Final Rush up on an alcove.For cutscenes when Shadow meets Sonic Big is running around the mech,In the dark version of "I am the Eggman",Big can still be seen In the door when Egg Golem rises,and in the final story when Eggman is freaking out about the cannon not firing,Big looks over the edge

I saw him in the door of the egg golem cut scene but it was only once and i kept trying to replay it and never saw it again. I thought i was just up too late and seeing things because i never knew about any of these cameos until today, like 14 years later

I love how these were added just to troll the people who hated Big when what we really hated was poor writing and unwanted mandatory fishing. The issue wasn't the character for the most part. He has fans, but he was easily the most shoehorned in character in Sonic Adventure.

I agree with some of the fandom where big is unknowingly sabotaging the stages before you even get there
I think all members of team Rose needs well made characterization and development. I just done when people call someone or all of them not important.
Cream is happy and powerful. Boldly goes to save Vanilla and Chocola. She also helped Blaze accept others in her life. Chao lore and new locations can be interesting.
Big is calm and independent. He explores the world on his own, but when it's necessary, he can stand up for his friends. In final SA1 he helped others to find chaos emeralds and join team Rose to find Chocola and Froggy.
Amy is kind and understanding. Resolutely goes to adventures and tries to become better and stronger. Seeing good even in her enemies and tries to help others. She helped Gamma to realize what he doing and change his perspective on life, helping Shadow recall his true purpose, helping Cream and Big to find messing friends.
They have a siblings or cousins dynamic.
This potential can be used in future games, but Sega likes to waste that. Yes, they have flaws and a "bad script" BUT that doesn't mean you can destroy those characters and development just because fans didn't like them. It's broke my heart. How characters become interesting if you don't develop them, humiliate them and later don't include them in the narrative?
Without team Rose, whole franchise feels weird.
Notice how fans are wanting them back? You’ve got the IDW comics writing the characters better than the recent games themselves. People want Cream and Big back because they have unused potential in the games, and the same could be said for several others. If even the Deadly Six can be written ( dare I say “ amazingly “ ) in the Metal Virus Saga, any character can
