Word of caution: Don't talk to strangers or get distracted by them while your bag is going through the scanner machine. Make sure your eyes are on your personal possessions and the scanner operators. They are crooks. I found out that my bangles and rings were stolen from my last trip to Manila. Good thing they were just custom jewelries but they are collectibles, that's what I feel, bad about. Too many handlers at the airport.
Thank you..
You can stay there, siguro, while waiting to transfer . Pwede mong i-google para you have more details. Happy and safe trip. God bless you and your family.
The most important improvement should be the eradication of corruption in security, immigration, and customs. Physical improvements are useless if corrupt and abusive airport staff are left to their own devices.
Sorry Customs, Immigration and AVSecom are independent govt bodies and are not run, managed by the Airport operator. Only reqmt by Airport operator is to provide the space and infra reqmts like power, etc…
They ask for "solvable" issues, not for a miracle, that one you mentioned can only be solved thru a drastic cultural change which starts into our own individual family. I just took a flight from HK to T1 in Manila, except for the ramp, everything looked great. If that ramp is for passengers use, they need to make renovate to make it less steep. I saw a lady having a hard time controlling her trolley, and yes, the trolley I used was horrible. It had no breaks, unlike most trolleys we’ve used all over the world, they have built it breaks. The trolley I use and I assume, the other passenger, had no breaks. But the terminal is clean and nice. I was pleasantly surprised and plan to fly PAL again. Good job, San Miguel!
The refurbished T1 looks really good! Now to other improvements - frequent shuttle services between the terminals including domestic. Then add one more runway - air traffic is really bad.
Watching this at 4k 60fps makes it immersive and life-like! Now I haven't been to Terminal 1 in years but it definitely needed a makeover and while it is still a work in progress, this is a very good step forward. Hope SMC won't rest on its laurels and put its foot off the pedal.
It has been almost a month since the NNIC consortium, led by Ramon Ang's San Miguel Corporation, took over the management of all four Ninoy Aquino Int'l Airport terminals. On my last visit in October 2024, I noticed improvements in NAIA Terminal 1. Specifically, it's more organized, and the facilities are cleaner. This walking tour of NAIA Terminal 1 includes the check-in area, the shops and restaurants, the boarding gates, the lounges, and the arrivals area. ___ The New NAIA Infra Corp. I went through the terminal last 28 September, same as before; I noticed two new things- check in area lights are brighter and more seats inside the walkway to gates
In the 80's ( since 1986 ) ko pa nirereklamo ang airport natin and finally after 38 years , gaganda at aayus na ang paliparan ng bansa na sa paningin ko talaga ay isang higanteng bodega. Sana maayos na talaga at least to the level of " puwede na " until matapos ang airport sa Bulacan. Good luck San Miguel!!!!!
Improving this terminal is a massive task It’s very old and old style for the new requirements and passenger traffic I think this vlog was taken during quiet times in the terminal

I have not yet entered the departure area yet but the arrivals extension is not yet reformed as before. Also i see the news about the parking hikes. Thanks TFH for the NAIA 1 tour.
Brings back memories of sadness😢 when i had to leave my family, after 2 long years was able to come back and finally bring my wife and kids to the US, happiest day of my life🙏🙂
We were there this last June, it was so very dated and chaotic. It seems a bit better at the check-in lobby, but still a long way to go. The chairs at the boarding gate area need total overhaul, they are really run down.
The digital signage above each check-in counter as well as the main board really need to be upped in size. If they were larger and clearer, it’d help passengers easily find their check-in area without having to wiggle through each snaking line to read the signs up close.
Thank you so much San Miguel for all your help to improve Philippines! God bless the owner of San Miguel. More power to you. Sana yung mga gate waiting areas for international ayusin ang mga seats and update all the areas and make them more cleaner. Especially the washrooms need a lot of updates. Even the stores are not very organized and clean looking. Sana me train din or some sort of transportation to go from one terminal to the other terminal. Then they’re all asking for tips! I know mahirap ang buhay sa atin pero di maganda lalo na sa tingin ng mga foreigner. I just wish we can catch up real soon with other developed countries para mawala na tayo sa listahan ng one of the worst airports in the world. Wish ko lng. Free nman hehe
Add more walkalator sa arrival, just like in japan amd even hkong. Also sana magkaroon na ng train sa loob ng airport if you will transfer to other termina., just like in japa. Jk, korea n spore. Pasensya na sa pangarap ko. Thank you.
Being a frequent traveler, I had passed through several airports around the world. In many countries, they allow that.
Hoping for the best in the near future. I've been traveling in and out of this terminal around 9 return flights over the last 3 years, and yes, it's outdated by around 3 decades. Correction on the Mabuhay Lounge caption. It's for business class and Mabuhay miles elite and above only - not all members.
Tsaka d2 samin sa HKIA, pag punta nyo sa mga boarding gates nyo, may lift or elevator, scalator at flat walkway na scalator din...at ang floor ng ibang walk way tiles para madali lumakad gamit ang trolley or mga luggage nyo, sa waiting at departure area ang carpeted.
AT 22:12, restrooms need a big improvement...arrival area needs to be cleaned and changes..it is quite untidy due to old age...Definitely Mr. Ramon Ang can fix those problems...
Improved transfers between terminals should be an urgent priority. Pax should be able to transfer without leaving the airport. An internal bus like Syd has is an easy fix
I flew out of at NAIA 1 last 17 Sep 2024. The check in area seemed more spacious. Could be cos of less flights at the time? But that's all I really noticed.
We had flown out of that terminal with PAL 2 times this year. Once in April and once in June it looked as nice as in this video except the wall behind the check-in counter was a darker color. But it was pretty much this nice before the take over. And the new PAL Mabuhay lounge had opened by then. I will say when PAL move to terminal 1 the first lounge was bad. The shops look pretty much the same from June.
The biggest problem on all NAIA terminals is access to public transporatation like Public buses, hence all passengers or other people that needs to go to the airport have to take expensive taxis. This could be improved best if public transport could be linked to the four terminals for public use. Bus or monorail to LRT, PITX, MRT is feasible, other countries even have train access, ThankYou
Another need to be improved is repainting of the external portion of the building/sorroundings, add more attractive landscaping, and widen the vehicles park areas.
Pls provide chairs near the check in counter esp for seniors who have waited 2-3hrs b4 the gate opens. Not everybody who waits that long can withstand hours of waiting on their feet. I experienced that & made me so dizzy
very few countries have wise leaders that link their airports directly with their subway systems. an intelligent administrator would build a train terminal connected directly with the airport for seamless transfer of passengers. let's see if filipinos are as intelligent as the germans, dutch, french and italians when it comes to connecting their airports with the mass rail links
It’s frankly frustrating that no one has ever thought of connecting NAIA to at least the nearby Taft Ave Station of the MRT. But then again, what do these politicians know? They take their private cars to and from the airport anyway so 🤷🏻♂️
It doesn’t help that a private company like San Miguel is taking over a supposed government entity. That answers @rayfabb22 on why we can’t connect the train to the airport: govt owned to private, nope. Govt owned to govt owned, yes.
they should fast track building the new terminal building but I'm not sure, it's SMC, they have alot of delayed projects, for example caticlan airport, as of now it's still that small, "temporary" terminal building 😅
Please San Miguel Corp. construct a bridge/tube inside the building passengers can walk transfer from NAIA International Terminal 1 to Domestic Terminal 2. No need for the passengers to go out and wait for Pick-up cars to Domestic Terminal 2.
The most important thing to improve is the quality and honesty of the airport workers. You can have a beautiful airport but corruption and criminal activity are rampant.
most important to renovate…..ramp going to level one MASYADO DILIKADO WALANG STOPER nor BREAK ang push cart iyan dapat ang PRIORITY na bagohin REPLACE ESCALATOR for the safety and convenience to everybody’s
Dapat e convert nila ang loob ng naia 1 to modernize world class na mala hotel at shopping mall vibes na airport.. dapat organize para malawak Ang space na nilalakaran ng pasahero.. yong mga upuan para maiwasan Ang pagka kumpol kumpolan ng mga pasahero.. cleanliness of the cr.. upgrade the ilaw medyo madilim charot , upgrade the Aircon reklamo mainit daw, escalators lulubog lilitaw.. and lastly mga lounge upgrade.
Still can't figure out if ur baggage and personal items are scanned entering the terminal why is PAL scanning ur carry on items again before getting on the plane?
My wife and I took our flight back to the United States this morning via terminal 1. I didn't experience such a thing the last 2 times that I was there (last year and early this year). From the outside helper to the guys who assisted us inside, mga nangingikil.
The Terminal 1 opened in 1981 designed by National Artist for Architecture Leandro V. Locsin who also the designed the Cultural Center of the Philippines, PICC Building also the Istana Nurul Iman in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam the residence of the Sultan of Brunei.
The best improvement to Manila airports is a speedy short intervals monorail connecting all terminals, eliminate public congestions of hangouts to avoid scammers and crimes lurking in the areas
Hopefully they will lean on Genesis to restore the 24/7 connection by point-to-point coach from NAIA to Clark. For now, it seems that it ceases operation at 7pm
Supposed to be NAIA should have been privatized a long time ago, Thank you it's finally now under San Miguel Corp. management, dati wala man lang maupuan sa mga gilid gilid nang walkway ang mga waiting passengers for their flights, yung mga dating mga buwaya dyan ay mga mananahimik na di tulad noong under pa nang palpak na govt. airport management., ang mga namamahala dyan. Thank you Mr. Ramon Ang's San Miguel Corp. for taking over the management of NAIA, one of the worst Airport in Southeast Asia before.
Better TOILETS!!!! More departure monitors!! At 6:58 you see a tiny blue monitor showing only 8 gates on one side… you need to move to the other side to view the departure gate information for the other 8 gates!! Escalator to the food shops on the 3rd floor.. carry your luggage through the stairs up and down…
I usually hate seeing the check-in area because it means another trip to the Philippines has ended and I have to return to the crazy reality of the states.. 🥲😂 Looks really empty on this day in the video. When I was there last February, this check-in area was packed full of people. I’ve been traveling to the Philippines every year since 2010 so I’ve seen a lot of changes, improvements, etc not just in the airport but all over the Philippines. Always such a great time and cant wait to return. 😁🙏🏾
Sana lesser shops inside. Masikip masyado and magulo/stressful sa loob.
23:32 The iconic passenger's arrival ramp leading to meeting /parking area, buwis buhay pagbaba sa rampa... Lagyan na natin ng Elevators dyan......lakas Maka 3rd world.....Sir Ang of San Miguel corporation try nyo pong dumaan dyan with luggage trolley mga 50kgs very challenging promise.

Tama po....katulad sa Singapore airport, transferring to Terminal to Terminal ang elevated train.

Anyway, great walking tour brother!

AT 22:12, restrooms need a big improvement...arrival area needs to be cleaned and changes..it is quite untidy due to old age...Definitely Mr. Ramon Ang can fix those problems...
brighter lighting fixtures, updated and clean rest rooms please, better souvenir merchandise, thanks!

I get the hate for this terminal but whenever I come into the departure area, I still love looking at the waffle style wooden ceiling. Very Brutalist!
It was designed by LV Locsin and associates.
I was @NAIA T1 on 24th Oct, and there's no water inside toilets and water station. However, the airport management has provided timba and tabo
The security and check-in procedures need to become more efficient. This airport has the longest processing times of any airport I've ever dealt with.
allocate a weighing scale area for passenger use.... to determine/confirm the luggage weight of travelling passengers..
Please create a tube shuttle from terminal 1 to terminal 2 , being handicapped it is quite difficult transfer
Improved transfers between terminals should be an urgent priority. Pax should be able to transfer without leaving the airport. An internal bus like Syd has is an easy fix

I hope you can guide us from terminal 1 to terminal 2
Need more Illumination/lights at the entrance/check-in area.
One more thing the eticket computer and parking space accesible .🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
@@JustTiisLeagueDid you see the present Metro Manila subway construction? It ends at the airport. How soon?🙄
We don't have that sadly
Umm the ongoing subway project?
they should fast track building the new terminal building but I'm not sure, it's SMC, they have alot of delayed projects, for example caticlan airport, as of now it's still that small, "temporary" terminal building 😅
I see Water stations! 😊
Still can't figure out if ur baggage and personal items are scanned entering the terminal why is PAL scanning ur carry on items again before getting on the plane?
How about the transportation? Na-improve na din ba?
It looks much better than Terminal 3. Terminal 3 is looking like a shopping mall than an airport.
Better rest rooms, waiting areas with all the amenities like the international airport in Singapore!
and make those toilets spacious. i am a small person, but the cubicles are narrow and tight.
last time i was here was 2022, i didnt go in 2023 but 2025 itll be my connecting flight before Cebu take off
One improvement -
No more staff who are using mobile phone while on duty.
No group conversation among staff while on duty.
Better TOILETS!!!! More departure monitors!! At 6:58 you see a tiny blue monitor showing only 8 gates on one side… you need to move to the other side to view the departure gate information for the other 8 gates!! Escalator to the food shops on the 3rd floor.. carry your luggage through the stairs up and down…
Woah, i know the guy at 1:55. That's crazy!
isn't that David from Lola Amour?
are there directories of where things are?
To have a train link between Terminal 1 2 and 3
I usually hate seeing the check-in area because it means another trip to the Philippines has ended and I have to return to the crazy reality of the states.. 😁🙏🏾
Where can you get the elevator to the 4th floor?
is there a bus to transfer to Terminal 3?
Sana lesser shops inside. Masikip masyado and magulo/stressful sa loob.
Not much has changed compared to last year. They should just rebuild it!
Any update po regarding sa new terminal assignment?
23:32 The iconic passenger's arrival ramp leading to meeting /parking area, buwis buhay pagbaba sa rampa...
Lagyan na natin ng Elevators dyan......lakas Maka 3rd world.....Sir Ang of San Miguel corporation try nyo pong dumaan dyan with luggage trolley mga 50kgs very challenging promise.
👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
More seats for the passengers waiting for schedule flights specifically for seniors
Gusto kong makita yong bagong international airport sa bulacan , what happened na ba ? tuloy pa kaya yon , yon talaga high tech .
