I've realized once again how great the houseplant community is and how we're all on one world! We're all learning to help our plant babies thrive in our homes (you're pointing out the best ways to mimic their natural environments). And we seem to have the same pests even on opposite sides of the world. Let's keep learning to take care of plants and help them take over the world! 🌏🌎🌍
Thank you. And yes theres so many ways to grow and multiply our plants which makes it an exciting hobby. Love seeing plants grow and adapt to different home environments!
"There's no right or wrong answer, tiny leaves are also beautiful" - so true! I have a Philodendron brasil that trails down and makes beautiful little leaves. The whole plant is a really pleasing shape because of it :)
Another way to encourage the aerial roots to latch itself onto the pole & also to encourage the plants to produce bigger leaves is by misting the pole with diluted rooting hormone frequently :)
Senang sekali ada plant vloger dari Indonesia yang sangat menginpirasi dan bisa diaplikasikan oleh newbie seperti saya. Selama ini kebanyakan vloger dari luar yang saya lihat. Keep up the good work and introduce to the world that Indonesia is rich in beautiful plants
I made the mistake of not using a pole sooner with my monstera Deliciosa, but recently I repotted it and tied it up (with much difficulty) and my husband and I think they seem to be so much happier.
thank you i love your planty content and i appreciate plant subject matter you have shared, very helpful and enjoyable to watch the progression of your channel and your plant pals. lol life finds a way
Thank you so much for the wonderful explanation!!!! I searched and searched through too many plant videos and you are clear and explain it beautifully! Thank you for posting!!!
I made my own poles out of coconut fibre that I wrapped around an old branch / stick I searched for in the bush and then put garden tie wire around it to hold it on put it into my pot then attached the plant to it , cheaper to buy here , your videos are very helpful and I love them ; thank you Sean much appreciated even here in Australia as we grow all these plants you have here on the Australian coast 👌🥰🙌🧤👒🦘🐨🇦🇺🪴🌱💗
Monstera albo is so beautiful! It is the first time when I come across your channel and I like the way you explain and watching your plants is so peaceful and joyful! You've got a new subscriber!
Good afternoon! I just found your channel and its so informative but also, your personality is so great! I vant stop watching your happy uplifting spirit be happy about plants! Thank you so much! I learned so much already and have lots of fun watching ^^ have a great day please! ❤️💕
I have this big pot of pothos that I recently uppotted. I wasn't gonna stake it up but after watching this video I couldn't help myself. Your tip of putting sphagnum to help the roots grow is great. I had to try it. Great video. 😊
thank you so much for such a delightful lesson. your love for plants is immediately evident and contagious. and ... the plants sure know it! love the personable way you present your topic. i learned alot! much blessing upon your businesses, UA-cam, plants and dogs!
My micon is in front of a sanserveria and it is using that as a pole 🤦🏼♀️. I guess she needs me to make her a pole. Life finds a way! Love your quote.
One lesson that I need to take about sticking moss pole to the pot: balance. Almost every time my pots fell off bcoz the poles are imbalance. I need to learn how to stick that long pole in a tiny pot like yours, Sean.
Great video! Thanks Sean. Someone please tell me why plants are put in such small pots? I see that everywhere. As soon as I see roots coming out of the bottom of the pot I go up in size. The pots I use for my monsteras about the same size as the one shown here is maybe 2 1/2 bigger. Thank you for your input!
Awesome, awesome, Sean!!! I requested this in one of your videos way back and I really appreciate you took the time to make a vid focusing on moss poles. Really, really helps a lot. I have an Epipremnum pinnatum green form (still a baby) and it's starting to get aerial roots that's why I needed this. More success!!!
Thank you so much for making a detailed video on philodendron and how to stack it into the coir sticks. Love the moss air-layering propagation method. 😊
Here in Canada, specially in Vancouver Island, moss poles are expensive and not easy to find. Thanks for the video -> you inspire me always do more for my plants.... much thanks Sean :)
Thanks for such an informative and educational video. Your love and passion into these plants and the shooting of this work couldn't be more obvious. I have a question. Do you have any advice on how to use these coconut coir/moss poles in landscaping these climbing plants?
Oooh Im actually about to film this in my new home. I created a steel mesh frame in front of a wall, and I will insert coco coir inside the frame to let them root into it as they climb
I enjoyed this. I recently added a moss pole to my golden pothos. I'm watching for signs that it is growing up on its own and leaves are getting larger. Still waiting. I like that the plant has a smaller footprint this way. Thank you. I got to see you two times in one day!
@@clos7238 Hi. I got them on Amazon. They are made of coco fibre. I am not sure about that medium. It doesn't hold water well, and my vines don't seem to be rooting in it. It is really convenient but maybe not as good as sphagnum moss would be. The Crazy Plant Guy on UA-cam has a video on making your own moss poles. I was too lazy! LOL Maybe see of you could do that.
@@Richard-zm6pt Oh OK then, I was actually concern about that with the coco pole. I'd just seen the video of the Crazy Plant Guy, it's for my monstera and I think I'm gonna do that. Thanks a lot! 😁
Hi you are so great with plants ... they are so beautiful 😍.... where can I get a moss pole just like yours.? Can you PLEASE put the link for they. It. Will be sooo helpful.... thanks so much... I really enjoy your videos
Thanks for the great video Sean! And yes, we read your long captions ^^ I really want to give my scindapsus pictus a moss pole. could I put two vines on the pole?
I have just made 20+ moss poles in the last week. The earlier ones have already taken root. I made my poles out of spaghnum only and can’t wait to see the big leaves!
You are an amazing teacher. I learn so much from your videos. Thank you for sharing all of your knowledge with us! Lots of love for you and your channel! 🌱💚
Great video! Thank you! I added a moss pole to my monstera today. Can you please tell me about how long it wil take my plant to start grabbing on to it?
That depends on the speed of growth and humidity. Make sure the aerial roots are kissing the surface of the moss pole. After a few nodes attach, the plant will find itself onto the moss pole without help. Mist the moss pole often to increase humidity 🤓
I couldnt take my eyes off that monstera albo. Just WOW, so beautiful
So do i😁
Omg me neither! So beautiful!! 😍
Me either!! I could barely hear him over the beauty of this plant :-)
Yes!.. Exactly.. What was he saying?..🤔.. All I could pay attention to was that beautiful baby!!.. . Lol.. He was totally upstaged!..😂
me too 😍😍😍😍🥺

Yep this makes growing them so interesting... diversity of leaf shapes
Yeah gives me an excuse to have 2 of each plant, one groes up, the other trails😅🤣😍
Especially true for the monstera dubia. I adore the juvenile leaves so much, it's almost sad that they turn completely green as they mature.
every time you introduce yourself "hi my name is shawn from jakarta Indonesia", i mentally say, " hi shawn!"
also, the monstera albo on the left

Thanks for the video...my mican is giving me tiny leaves ...so I'm going to do the pole thing...hope ill get some bigger leaves.
Yep however the micans maximum leaf size is not as big as other philodendrons so theres a limit to how big they can get
After watching this, I am getting the moss pole for my Scindapsus silver queen and Micans.

A lot of good information

that's so beautiful,Please make an update video.love it
Thanks Sean! Silly me that I never thought to mist pole.. No wonder my adonsoni root do not stick to it.
The roots do need to kiss the pole to find it, you may need to tie it to the pole initially

Yes you can put many vines on a pole... I even loop them back down the pole and up again to get it to look bushy. Itll look like a bush
Could you please share the link to the video you recommended when you were wrapping the pothos vine in the soil?
