This animation immediately reminded me of the Netflix show (and also a film) called Hilda. It’s based off books of the same name, and it is an amazing series. The style is similar to the style in this animation, and I highly recommend watching the show. It’s very cleverly done and so I think (if you haven’t already seen it) you should check it out.

Dude if I ever had to sum up Evangelion in one sentence it would probably be "Trauma in anime form" I wish they put more into the lore department in its original show but it was great regardless. The animation really captures how you can imagine the character feeling in this moment. Insecure, angry, sad, jealous.
