Why anyone would thumbs down this video is beyond me. It's a great & informative video. It may be 5 years old but, I just found it today & it's still 100% relative.

FANTASTIC demo. I hope your viewers realize how hard it is to "demo" an FRFR cab, (or any reference monitor, audio or video), for youtube etc. It's purpose is to accurately reproduce what you send to the input. When recording for a demo, you add a second mic profile, natural room sound, and then when playing back on a TV, iphone, or whatever, the limitations of that system are added also. You have done a great job of explaining the benefits of Gemini and capturing the room sound.
I have the Gemini 2 myself and LOVE It. I could always hear differences with cab profiles on my Kemper presets with headphones, but they were barely perceivable when played at rehearsal through normal guitar cabs. With the Gemini, all the time I spend tweaking my presets cabs are noticeable to me and my band mates.
Thanks so much for uploading this!

Hey Cooper. Another super video. :)
I Was thinking, could you du a setup video on the axe fx 2. How to set it to pc at and how you record. An setup to play live also with the axe fx 2 :)

Great video. What do you recommend for a live rig with an Axe-FXII-XL? A matrix pre-amp and passive speaker or the Mission Gemini 1? I've looked at both solutions and leaning towards the Gemini.

At 110watts of D rated power? How loud does this get versus valve power? I typically favor 50watt valve amps and 212 cabs. However, not playing out anymore is also a consideration for this FRFR setup.. But would love to have that option of loudness when a jam session comes about.

Hi Cooper, can you use the Gemini as an acoustic guitar amp with the acoustic guitar plugged directly into Input 1 or 2? I'm looking for something I can use with both a Boss GP-10 with amp modeling, as well as having an acoustic guitar amp. Thanks.

Please discuss sustain generated with the gemeni vs guitar cab w analog pedals? Can u achieve the same feel, and single note sustain with a cranked tube amp (squeal effect)?

Would an acoustic guitar sound good through one of these? Without the Axe fx?

You absolutely could use an acoustic guitar through a Gemini. You would just need a small acoustic guitar preamp, or you could connect direct to the guitar input and use a software based preamp on a PC or Mac via the USB. Guitars with both magnetic and Piezo pickups for acoustic work really well with this type of setup.

I bought one of these and honestly, it sounds horrible, Very boxy and has some weird resonant ring. Im using it with a Kemper using high quality profiles (M.Britt,Michael Wagner,C.Kemper.etc)With the empower knob turned down,It sounds nothing like a guitar cabinet.Very muffled and woofy. When using the empower knob turned to FRFR, ALL the profiles sound like using speaker sim on a regular 12" speaker. My Mackie studio monitors sound 10x's better than this does. Gonna contact mission next week(its saturday) If thats no help then its getting returned. Very disappointing.

There are a couple of differences. Gemini can be used in FR mode with software cab sims, but can also be used in cab mode with cab sims off. If you are not sure if you like FRFR, or sometimes you use cab sims, and sometimes not, you can do both with Gemini. You don't need to have two separate guitar and FRFR cabs.
Gemini has a built in studio quality USB audio interface. You can plug a computer and guitar directly into a Gemini and use it for recording and monitoring with an audio workstation such as Pro Tools or Logic. There's also an embedded mixer, so you can connect a modeler such as the Axe-fx for your guitar sound AND a laptop via USB and stream backing tracks and other USB audio such as interval music etc without the need for a separate mixer or PA.
