    What grows hair?
    ✅Commitment
    ✅Consistency
    ✅Care (being extremely gentle)
    ✅Cleansing (solid scalp and hair cleansing regimen)
    ✅Crops (crops (vegetables), overall diet, ample water
    Hair is constantly growing, but must be maintained to thrive. (Cleansing, grooming)
    I have used these ingredients to help me achieve waist length hair. In addition, you must keep your hair in protective styles (twists, braids) for long periods of time. (3 - 4 weeks at a time etc) practice gratefulness, positive mindset, excellent diet, proper sleep, consistency, exercise, gentle detangling, no heat at all (my experience), daily oiling of hair ends , deep scalp massage, diy natural mild shampoos and deeply moisturizing diy conditioners, practice mindfulness and lower stress. The results are my own. All results vary. Hair does not grow long overnight. Average hair growth is 6 inches a year. I started my natural hair journey 10 years ago but had many setbacks as it took many years of research and trial and error to find methods/products that worked for me. Of the 10 years, it took me roughly 4 years to achieve waist length hair.
    More insight: I’m a non-smoker and do not drink alcoholic beverages, nor do I take any medications.

      I know I’m not the one y’all are asking but I also grew my hair from doing mini twists and wash and go’s. I use blue magic, either the coconut or blue one works, or I’ll use Indian hemp hair conditioner and that’s it. The I just kind of diffuse the hair without any heat or I braid it the day before (which is technically a braid out), but it really turns out well🫶🏾

Also just wearing wigs and hats since the last week of October I braided every 45-50 days. I put little bit of Vaseline at the very ends of my hair. I think that’s been helping with the breakage.

    I'm on 1 year and 4 months of mini braids. I'm now mid to lower back length. I rebraid every 12 to 14 weeks. My homemade oil mix and leave in has been what I use besides aloe vera water and filtered water. I wash once a week. I'm gonna keep this in til I get the urge for a different style. • @Crystlstarrlight
      @Crystlstarrlight Рік тому +31

      @tialynn1111 1. I wear buns. My ends are sensitive and my hair will break if it rubs against skin or clothes. So my hair grows when up and tucked in
      2) I don't do neat parts. I have mini braids. So not micro but big enough to use decent sections of hair , but small enough to style like mini twists. I'm not bothered by having neat parts because my new growth will cover it. I love a bohemian free look to my hair.
      3) I don't get tangles. If the roots do tangle I just detangle when I take them down. I use oil or conditioner on take down day.
      4) type 4c in the back and crown and 4b near the edges and top. I wash once a week friday or Saturday. I use Raw brand shampoo and conditioner (truly unruly).
      5.) I use an oil blend on my scalp. I use aloe water mixed with filtered water for moisture. When I add leave in , I do it when I'm in the shower and my hair shaft is open. It helps to moisture train the hair.
      I trim when I notice my ends are a little raggedy. I also use the oil on my ends and hair when I put in the leave in.
      6) I moisturize and scalp massage every other day or every day if or when needed.

      @AneXineohp 11 місяців тому +3

      no one's hair can grow particularly faster than anyone else, by a small margin fr, she probably just has a longer growth phase (anagen). and the nail oiling thing is pretty basic to strengthen your nails, which grows it, as it also helps get rid of nail breaks like hangnails. if it doesnt break, it retains length, hair or nails. my hair and nails rarely ever broke off throughout my life, and i never cut either, and they were particularly long. it was when i stopped taking care of them/my body when i didn't see that.

    “Do nothing and grow hair” it’s crazy that I even found this channel based on those words because that’s exactly what I typed in to see if anyone else did the same! Your regimen is great and I look forward to doing the same along with another person who commented about their upkeep w mini braids. I installed mini braids in my hair on 10/16/23 (took me to two days to install) and I plan on taking them down on 1/16/23 and doing my usual wash day routine but either w a clay wash or hot oil treatment since my hair has been in the braids for a long while and really needs some lovin’ lol. I don’t want to immediately put mini braids back in so I’ll probably rock two braids for a few days before reinstalling and leaving the new mini braids in for 3 months again. My goal is to better upkeep my mini braids and I like your moisturize and seal method. I don’t plan on rebraiding my hair in that 3 months (I tried doing that w the ones that are in now but I only managed to do a few before getting too busy to complete them) I really think I’ll post a video/short to show the growth. This gives me hope for getting to waist length! I’m getting closer. Your routine is natural homemade oil mixes, aloe and water. And just a consistent solid routine. And love that you added exercise and diet. A wholistic approach. I’m in the process of eliminating store bought products but I’ve noticed an increase in my growth journey with mainly homemade oils, exercise and a healthier diet. Olive oil is my go to that makes my hair feel super soft for my moisture routine but I’ll start incorporating more avocado oil as well and see if that helps too. I’m not big on adding gel to my ends, I just use heavier oils like castor oil or Shea butter. However, I may have to experiment again with a small amount of homemade flaxseed gel or aloe vera gel straight from the plant and put it on my ends. If you any suggestions on this please let me know in the comments.

      Be consistent, gentle, moisturize it well (have a good moisturizing routine) and leave it alone for long periods to give it a rest (while in protective styles also make sure to check in at least weekly to make sure it is not matting)
      Braids and twists are excellent protective style choices (even buns)
      Make sure the ends are well moisturized when taking the hair down to prevent ripping through the ends and undoing the growth.
      Have a great week! Thank you💕

    Great tips! I keep my hair in twists as it limits me touching my hair all of the time and helps me avoid fairy knots. Since my hair texture is mixed, I have to redo my twists weekly so they won’t frizz up. I also use black castor oil for when my scalp gets itchy or a few days before my wash day. My hair seems to like it so hopefully I can get to at least a little below bra strap length.

    Good morning, I hope you are well. I have a question: Do you do this routine on a daily basis? Another question: You said that you alternate between herbal oil, aloe vera spray, and herbal spray. Do you apply something specific every day because I am not very good at English? I did not understand some things. Do you oil the ends of your hair daily, then You put aloe vera spray on the scalp, and this is how the routine is finished. Do you oil your scalp daily? I hope for an answer, thank you💗💗

    • @tialynn1111
      @tialynn1111  Рік тому +7

      Hi💕
      No I do not oil my Scalp daily:
      1. Let’s say today is Monday, I’ll spray my hair with a mist of just spring water and then I’ll apply my penetrative oils to my braids. That’s it.
      2. Tuesday I’ll spray my scalp w an herbal mix (there’s no real order, it’s just what I feel like my hair/scalp needs)
      I’ll apply penetrative oils
      3. Wednesday I may not spray my scalp at all but I’ll apply my penetrating oils
      4. Thursday I’ll check to see if my hair feels dry, I’ll spray w pure water then apply penetrative oils (not to the scalp)
      5. Friday I’ll just mist w water and apply oils (not to the scalp)
      6. Saturday I’ll just apply penetrative oils after misting w water
      7. Sunday I’ll spray scalp w aloe mix and massage deeply then I’ll spray hair w water then apply penetrating oils to the hair not the scalp
      Then I’ll do it all over again for a month, but maybe I’ll apply more herbal spray than aloe etc
      Maybe next Monday I’ll oil my scalp for the week w my growth oil
      Then so on (hypothetically speaking)
      I do this all while my hair is in braids. They do not come out until 1 month.
      Tonight I took out all my braids and I’ll post a video of what my hair looks like completely loose…
      This is how your hair will stay thick, grows like longs weeds and becomes very healthy.
      I’ll do this routine for 1.5 months until my hair reaches past my glutes (classic length)

    My hair can't tolerate water spritzing, even with oil on top, because of its high porosity. The water evaporates and dries out my hair. I only wet my hair with water on wash day. Also, I went through a phase of using oils frequently and the cuticles of my hair got lifted (somewhat) to the detriment of my hair. Everyone's hair is different. Yadain Cultural Solutions makes several all natural conditioners that will keep the hair moisturized for at least a week after washing. I'm not connected with this Black owned brand but I've been using their products for about 4 years. There's no brand that can touch them if you're looking for great all natural hair products.

      I'm glad it's not just me. I stopped using water on my hair outside of wash days too, because the result is always hair that feels crunchy and strawlike, even with an oil applied on top like you mentioned. I only use hair lotion to moisturize, and my hair feels very nice and soft right after and for days afterward.

    I've been into health and nutrition. I believe a lot of things we're meant to eat can be applied to the hair. I want to make my own body and hair care products. I'm not doing this now, but when I can, I plan to keep a simple hair care routine. Wash with acv and rice water. Condition with egg yolk, rice pudding, raw cream and honey. Stretch the hair and apply a whipped butter (I want to use real raw butter. It stinks, so I'll add some essential oils to it) and put it into mini braids and keep that in for a few weeks until I feel like washing it again. I have my hair in braids now but it has product in it. I think this will nourish my hair properly and help it thicken and grow and it'll be super soft and hopefully easy to detangle. Of course, nourishment from the inside will help the most as well as taking care of it. I was lazy and had my hair in a ponytail all the time. It would get knotted up and everything but this year, I'm trying to take better care of myself, including my hair. The best thing is to find the things your hair loves, eating right, and styling it in a way that won't break ot damage or knot your hair. Keep it stretched or in braids or twists or whatever. I don't agree with wigs and weave, but I understand why people wear them. I like my natural hair on it's own, though, so I stick with that. Maybe teas might work, but I think that's too much for me. I just want to keep things simple. The simpler, the better

      I only detangle once a month (when I put in a long protective style or once every 7 days (when I’m not doing a monthly protective style)
      Just make the hair is thoroughly hydrated, oiled and detangled before putting in a protective style. Of course the hair sheds daily, so there will be shed hairs that intertwine with the hair on your head. This can create potential for tangles, but it is reduced when you hydrate, oil, detangle one time initially.

      I would also make sure to check in on your hair at least 1x a week and spray/oil to ensure the real hair is properly taken care of.

    As a person who also has hair past waist length (discovered the truth during the pandemic), your tips are the truth. I think a huge part of the problem is that people don't recognize that natural hair is political. We have been told that our hair isn't beautiful the way that it grows out of our scalps, so we have to straighten,chemically process, and mechanically damage it to fit a European standard of beauty. Lots of people these days are posting about how much they "hate their hair" or believe their hair is "unmanageable" because they continue to try to use straight hair techniques and a straight hair standard to determine what is easy and "looks good". Only when we leave that mindset will we find success.
    Short natural hair is beautiful. A kinky coily TWA is beautiful. The 4c hair pattern is beautiful and does not need excessive manipulation to be so.
    Nothing wrong with straight hair or wigs! Love a silk press and a 30 inch buss down. But they are not "easier" or "better" than those gorgeous, God-given coils.
