I sat down with 5 friends of mine to discuss what the most anticipated Gacha game of 2024 was. And this is what happened. What Gacha game are YOU most anticipating this year?
Zenless Zone Zero for it's characters, combat and the overall environment of the game (+ the devs behind it)
Wuwa and its not even close .. lore of the desolate world turning into a beautiful is my kinda way ... And no gacha beats the combat of wuwa

Why do people just look at open world and think "wow high quality gacha" There are still so many standard gacha games coming out that blow these open world gachas out of the water. Was tower of fantasy not a good enough example to you people that simply being open world doesn't make a good game lol

WuWa all the way for me and none of the others at all, reason for me not being so much excited for promilia is because of the record of the devs making their games region locked.... i cant play azur lane cuz its blocked in my region soo if thats something they do all the time? then promilia will be bottom of my list of the worst gachas ever made to rott because i wont be able to play it anyway.

Wuthering waves, all the way no matter what..... to me its everything ive ever wanted, after what if seen the devs do for us? listen to us? buffing personality? changing colors? and even now recently people didnt like the echo system they right away began to rework, where else you would find devs like that?.... Kuro are one of those with passion without money being their ego, most definitely Wuthering Waves.🤗
The graphics and details are insane in wuthering waves, during quests characters movements, lip animations, Better shadows and never forget the gorgeous 6pack npc woman 😋.. dancing turtle ... The motivated chair 🕊️ , the hot male characters bodies and desingns that mogs every gacha male characters combined notably jiyan, calcharo, even scar to some extent . Soo much i can't wait anymore plsss kuroo plsss 😭.

DNA looks fun combat-wise, and the effort they put into the NPCs was impressive. I'm just worried about the gameplay loop. Will there be enough to do that won't become boring? Honestly, it'll be fun smashing hundreds of enemies, but only for a while. I'll burn out if that's all there's to do.
@@SundayMatineeI honestly think that DNA has more staying power than WuWa. I think DNA will consume less time because it's not open world, and it will decrease the chance for burnout.

To me is Azure Promilia Indeed. Just love fantasy and colorfull Open World Games. Genshin is pretty great to me and now with Azure Promilia is going to be great X2.
The gacha, the open world, the anime style, and the pokemon style gameplay piqued my interest but then I heard the farming content like harvest moon, it hooked me immediately

Would like to love Azure Promilia, but after following WuWa for a while I kinda don't think I'll have the energy for it right now. I do hope it's good. I'm sure for many people it will like it more and that it will have a potentially wider reach due to the artstyle.
Ive seen that Azur Promalia and WuWa are the top 2 most common ones. WuWa is probably cause its like a bit over a month away from release. And Azur Promalia just contained so many features.

No one mentioned the one I'm most excited about, Project Mugen. It's the modern day setting that attracts me. So many RPGS are set in fantasy worlds or sci-fi futures while relatively few set in modern times. It looks like the offspring of Persona and Yakuza with a touch of GTA and Spider-Man added in for fun. I think it's what I was hoping ZZZ would be.
Mugen's demos looked good but they just haven't shown much at all for a long time. I highly doubt they're going to launch this year.
WuWa, Azur Promilia, then ZZZ tbh I think I have some hesitancy to play another HoYo game sure its gonna be fun but i feel its more of the same after playing HI3, Gen and HSR I want to try something else.
Been going down the azur promilia rabbit hole and man do I want it NOW! But I'll be patient since I'm sure the devs, manjuu, are cooking up something good.

You spend the entire game looking for fleet combos and the game is so F2P you buy skins because you want to keep the servers running lol. You're only time gated on new characters by having them lvl up skills.

Am honestly mainly excited for wuthering wave: "The art style,game play mechanics are amazing even if it's a bit similar to ( Genshin impact ) it's still unique in it's own way. The story looks immersive and entertaining & the battle system looks pretty awesome. As far as it being a "Genshin killer" only time will tell because alot of games in the past has tried to compete with genshin & failed due to lack luster development & practically a copy paste of what Genshin is..Am not saying that's gonna be wuthering waves but all the hype & usually turn into nothing "if the game isn't trying to be different & accommodating to players especially ftp" in it's own given aspect. But that's my take on it & also azure pramilia seems very interesting as well am definitely excited for that one! ^-^
im looking forward to azure vermillion, and wuthering waves....i agree with the part that its genshin slaped with palworld, also another reason i like the game base on the trailer is its combat mechanic, like you have your standard mouse spam, your general combos, what i like on the azure vermillion is the fact they have aerial combat mehanics, also the farm system might be the cherry on top, unlike other gacha where you just plant these and come back a day later, this one is much more engaging.....as for wuthering waves, as what Mtashed said that it has a souls like feature where you need to learn the boss move set to kill them, im expecting that the dodge mechanic isnt bad, like in genshin the frame to dodge an attack is low so either get hit and shrug/heal it off, or just get shield and tank away....tho i like wuthering waves cuz of the free movement, such as wall running
The frame for dodging in wuwa is good, and when u do a successful dodge u get stamina back.
WuWa+ ZZZ+ DNA for me. AP is looking promising but (no male?) just isn't for me. Especially since I came from HI3. Other honorable mentions; P.Mugen, P.Akatsuki, Black Beacon, Abyss Knight, SL, SDS Origins, Thrud and so many more

Having too many gachas for me isn’t much of a worry cause I don’t spend money on them but still just simply enjoy them in the moment, the only one that’s my main is whichever has new content out; as for daily’s, i just do them every day for the games I really really love and even then sometimes I skip em
In other words I just treat em like normal games, non gachas, I just so happen to log in mostly every day for the games I love cause either I love them or because their daily’s quite literally take 2 seconds (like HSR) but doing it just because they’re short can still lead to burnout
As for open world aspects, some people r burnt out for them but some r just burnt out because of the open world they’ve played being boring
Idk man all 6 you brought up piqued my interest, WuWa is definitely my top choice but the others come real close too, still waiting to see if Wang Yue is getting any improvement and if they do, that's my 7th anticipated upcoming game! I can only wonder how am I going to manage my time playing all of these on top of having Genshin, Star Rail, Arknights, Nikke, Blue Archive and Reverse 1999 on my daily list

The only reason I’m gonna skip azure promilia is because… like … the world is just too vibrant and bright for me , it just not my cup of tea.
No, it HAS to be time gated, the games would be ruined if not. A lot of people are just gonna get everything within a week and quit if it's not time gated. This guy obviously does not understand how gacha and other similar games work but at least he admits that he's not really a gacha game player. He's like Asmongold, only trying out these games cuz they're popular and hopes to farm them for content. Which is fine.
I’m sure these game will be fun or at least satisfying, but my excitement for them isn’t there and it’s been like that for all games for years. I think it’s because I’m just getting older and my life has been more busy like having a family so I look at these more like actual hobbies and things I like and at the same time they can not exist and I’ll be ok.
If I’m being honest: I don’t like MTashed at all. The guy is so bipolar, always says he’s “quitting”, complains too much, gets his emotions too involved sometimes, and he acts like he can’t just move forward in life. Like the guy literally just said he doesn’t like Gacha games and wants to play a regularly RPG. Ok then do it. But no he wants these Gacha games to be like regularly RPGs and that’s impossible cus then they’re not Gacha games at all. He needs to move on from them completely and enjoy his life more or do something else for himself.
After I got blessed with Granblue Relink, I realized that Genshin combat is trash and open-world anime action games with genuinely good combat would be peak. So Wuwa for me.

for years gacha were just 2D turn based PNG collectors until one game with a big open immersive world, great anime 3D models and action combat and it took over the genre, of course the next gen of gacha to remain competitive, don't think there are too many of them, there was literally just 1 and now we might get like 3 more. anyway for me it's azur promilia, comfy gameplay, waifus only, pals. perfect for me

For me promilia is a skip since its only woman as pullable characters. I like the power fantasy of playing as a Big dude, with a big sword, and its plus if they wear armor (Guts from berserk style). So if it doesnt have that then I skip it

I'm not particularly excited for the new Azur game, the extra features they add like farming and designing your house, etc, I've never really cared for, but I do know a lot of people like that stuff, especially girls.

Azure Promilia is probably my most anticipated, Duet Night Abyss seems pretty cool too since i played Warframe for a good few years back in the day. but, let's be honest, neither of those are coming out in 2024, so realistically Wuthering Waves is the only one to be excited for in the near future.

I always prioritize gameplay and I feel that Wuthering Waves and Zenless devs do as well. I'm a little worried about WW since their previous game, PGR, lacked a lot of polish in the PC client which caused me to drop it quickly. ZZZ should be an absolute banger though. I'll try Azur Promilia, but I really can't stand the story in all the self-insert + female only + harem gacha games. Hope it's not the same old stuff in that area. Not a fan of farming style modes either. Solo leveling looks like your average licensed game where the main draw is the IP and not the gameplay. Will try all the others too but not feeling the hype as much.
Azur Promilia will have male or female protagonist, probably will have some male NPCs as well. But I get it most of the story characters will most likely be the playable ones which apart from the MC are all female

My thoughts:
ZZZ : Great looking combat, characters are good, looks bright and vibrant and "pop"
Azur Promilia : Open World looks nice, the characters are pretty (but could have male characters, but sadly no), combat looks good, but I don't really like the pal system, some of the text looks old fashioned. Combat looks ok.
WuWa : Great looking world, characters, and combat.
Which would you choose if you only had a single choice though?!

Wuwa is definitely the one i am most excited for and idk about zzz the tv and other issues it has, definitely has made me lose my interest for it and the combat is cool but thats about it since zzz combat is watered down wuwa combat and with nothing much else to offer 😅. I am definitely pulling jiyan and yinlin plus kakarot.
To be brutally honest, I'm not into lolis, so I do not like Azur Promilia. Genshin Impact is perfect as it is with the characters it releases. Its just... Azur Promilia has just TOO MANY lolis and 15yo girls that's making it hard for me to take it seriously as a game to invest on and have fun.
Exactly this. I've seen so many cc talk about how hot the characters look, but taking a good look there, most of them look 15ish. I get this creepishly feeling looking at the characters and considering manjuu's track record, I don't really see this game appealing to anything other than the coomer community.

Lol, seems like Volkin is probably the only one that can be considered a gacha game content creator. I've seen him cover some lower profile gacha games that most of the panel here probably doesn't even know exist cuz they're more about hyped/successful games than gacha games.
one person said solo leveling... still can't see why you would play a one character only matters gacha game where all other characters are useless... except for sung jin woo which is the king of hotness himself! 😍
solo leveling arise is a L opinion. like a netmarble game could ever be more than decent

its very fun and way better than just any average netmarble game and they are trying to tone down the grind in future updates only bad thing is the horrible ssr rates but rerolling is very simple so you can do that

Devs thinking azur lane the most degen sexual none 18+ gacha in the world playerbase are going to play azur promila a game with chinese level censorship is the most hilarious out of touch take in the world lol. Talk about not understanding your own players and the sole reason they are even playing your game...
I don't play genshin, I never got past the first 30min. I hated it. But let me tell you, nothing kills genshin. Genshin was the first and nthis is a milestone Wich can not be broken.
hsr already significantly passed it by revenue, genshin will be killed whether its 2025 or 2026

Most of those games have fast paced hack & slash action combat 3D gameplay, and that kind of gameplay has really inflated the gacha market...
That's why i only excited with games that offers something different and distinctive with the gameplay...

@@Stixxy besides the trust I have for the company, its part of a preexsisting world I already love, i know they can do dark storytelling so having that but in 3D is going to be cool, innovation is what HG seems to be good at and it shows from ex astris, arknights and endfield. Its not a full action game and combat is different from most other games ive seen. I look forward to the music that comes for it (Phoenix on the rise was already amazing). Always loved AK character design so seeing that in 3D is amazing too. I know the game will be able to challenge the players cause they have done it twice before.
Not to mention ads since its no longer yostar doing ad stuff for endfield they can really promote the game THE RIGHT WAY. lol.
But ya super excited to see what they cook for the first beta whenever it be coming and hope I get in.
@@SoulWhiteAngel I liked Endfield's world, but I didn't like the base building. And the combat is a little slow and not smooth for me. Pausing in combat just doesn't feel good.

And personally id rather it be slower rather then a full action game

I really hope they'll make they're genshin or pgr clone... but maybe not cause it will have the most horrendous gacha system ever probably...😒
