Great video. The final battle between Zeus and Typhon had two main parts. During the first part, Zeus's thunderbolt injured Typhon, who started to bleed. Typhon's blood dropped on the mountains, that took the name Haemus Mons (from the greek word "αίμα" which means blood), and the entire peninsula took the name "Peninsula of Haemus". It's the ancient name of the Balkans. Then the injured Typhon fled away, and once arrived to Sicily, Zeus reached him again and threw a huge mountain above him, which is the Mount Etna. For saving the world from destruction, Zeus was named "Σωτηρ", which means savior. This became one of the war cries of the Greek phalanx's hoplites who when attacked the enemy were yelling "Zeus Savior" i.e Ζευς Σωτηρ.

So the Olympian Gods went to Egypt and were worshiped in animal form? First I'm hearing about the two mythologies being connected. Then again I've heard people connect Greek and Christian mythologies together saying that the fallen angels became the Greek gods. Doesn't sound right but interesting to think about.
The Egypt thing was the Ancient Greeks’ attempt to reconcile their religion with Egypt’s, “ok they’re not crazy and they are worshiping gods, but their gods are actually our gods, who are the only gods!” The fallen angels thing is something similar, just the Christian version, Christian writers reconciling pagan gods and theology, saying the gods are fallen angels leading people away from worship from the true capital G God and not being actual deities since Christian theology hinges on there being only one god.
Christianity turned a lot of pantheons into demons like Baal being turned from a head of his pantheon into a powerful demon or pan goat like features becoming a common demon trope. Business as usual.
There are connections between all mythologies. A good example would be Greek and Norse where Hermes is called Hermod and Hecate is called Hela. In Egyptian Mythology Zeus's equivalent is Amun.

Wow, sounds like if the gods didn't turn yellow and run Olympus could have resolved this without Zeus getting maimed. Even Ares ran...? I guess we know who has the top seat of god of war in Olympus after this lol.
Lol yup. It’s why in the debate w the Norse pantheon vs Greek I’ll always take Norse. As no way the whole pantheon abandons their leader in a desperate time. Plus they were all ready for war at all times.
Zeus should be thankful to the Moirae sisters / sisters of Fates bcoz if not for the poisoned fruit he could not defeat Typhon be it in his human avatar form itself ..moreover never in Typhon's colossal form even if he strikes down all of his thunderbolt against him .. I expected Ares to rescue his father Zeus since he is the God of War but nowhere to be seen and guess fled to Egypt too. Athena on the other hand even as female/woman never left Zeus' side and fought Typhon side by side. Truly the greatest goddess in Greek History.
Um why would you want Zeus to win? The advancing empire from the east or Greece? The empire from the east wanted to replace the old Greek god kings and their temples for a new breed of gods. The people pushed into Greece were pawns, they had to go where they weren’t persecuted. The Greek kings were overwhelmed by this, the new people didn’t recognize Greek gods, and they the people clamoured for change over the ensuing generations. Until the new kings could hear them and push again. Happened in Greece, Rome, USA, Canada, Europe and it’s still shifting.
@@levidyer8042 the story is true. The sisters did not want eastern kings stepping into their realm of influence. They didn’t want Zeus to succeed. They wanted typhon and his Greek king army to succeed. But this wasn’t to be. The second they got their hands on Zeus’s tendons (ropes to move zeuses temple parts) and reanimated the weapon Zeus. So was the sister's failed to give typhon the fruit and they knew they had to give it to him or did they really want Zeus to win and do it of their on free will? Kinda a catch 22 isn't it?

@@djgabucay Mythology doesn't claim literal existence of gods/deities, rather it entertains symbolism, allegory, and personification of abstract ideas and forces of nature.
The gods were even more scared of Typhon more than Cronos
“..Had defeated 4 gods ; Aries, Apolo, and Artemis” 😂😂
Poseidon
Awesome video🔥
This was epic AF! Who did the art?
I hope that one day when you've done all of the Greek myths you will release a video with all of the stories on one video
Kratos, Hades and Persephone: I missed that part where that's my problem
Volcano, working a 9-5: "eeyup, all in an honest day's work"
Greek Lore Writers: "Eyy, there's a chaos god under there or sumthin."
Awesome!!! Taking about Greek I'm greek
This needs to be a movie. I am thinking maybe this could be an exciting adult oriented animated feature on a platform like Netflix.
Typhon ( τυφωνας )in modern greek means tornado
One question I have is why don’t the gods have their Golden Ichor?
Zeus: "I'm firin mah Lazer!"
Typhon: "sparkles?"
This is why the colossuses were so feared bybthe gods.
And why Heracles was born, and Hera even gave her begrunding blessing for Zeus to father the greatest greek hero.
Gaia, the mother, stands above all.
But also, all are her children.
love your vids. do you draw the comcis yourself?
Good video 👍🏻
So can typhoon one day be released ? If some other gods want to free him, can it be done? He can then confront Zeus and beat Zeus once again.
Very good!
💥💥💥💥💥💥Can somebody tell me how can i find this coole sountrack ?
is it just me or does Eros feel like an underated god?
Wow, sounds like if the gods didn't turn yellow and run Olympus could have resolved this without Zeus getting maimed. Even Ares ran...? I guess we know who has the top seat of god of war in Olympus after this lol.
Lol yup. It’s why in the debate w the Norse pantheon vs Greek I’ll always take Norse. As no way the whole pantheon abandons their leader in a desperate time. Plus they were all ready for war at all times.
Ares was defeated early on.
Where can I read this comic please?
The sisters probably saw the future and realized they weren't getting that pay raise if Zeus didn't win.
Game over.
So was the sister's failed to give typhon the fruit and they knew they had to give it to him or did they really want Zeus to win and do it of their on free will? Kinda a catch 22 isn't it?
Athena is far from the greatest lol.
Great story ❤
I never understood why Hollywood never just made this movie if they wanted to make Zeus look heroic. It even threw in a giant monster that would make tons of other people show up because who doesn't want to see a God of Lightning fight a giant Kaiju?
It becomes obvious where DC Comics draws its inspiration for wonder woman and Superman.
Typhon and Echidna are the most interesting characters in Greek mythology I adore them a lot
I know all these stories but I still watch these videos, anyone else 😅
is there a physical comics of this in print. i would buy all of it
Ah wow. So now I see how GoW 3 could take place in Egypt.
It was fun restoring the gods to defeat Typhon on Immortals : Fenyx Rising.
U should do a video about the giants
While having breakfast, this story is interesting.
Alright. This is amazing story.
Waiting for this
They should make these animated series for real
Mount Etna. .I'm glad I met ya
😊😊every year, we experience Typhon's power via his namesake Typhoons 😊
Bro ,can you make a video on science and maths in mythology
You know you’re a badass when someone has to poison just to get an edge.
the moirai give off Ladies of crookbag bog vibes.
