I don't find it very attractive. In asian faces it seems to draw too much attention to the cheekbone area and looks "off". This is a trend that will pass but the people who get it done will show the signs of an old trend.
I’m Asian and in my mid-40s now and my face has suddenly become more sculptured with age. No need to get buccal removal, at least in my case. Thankfully, I’ve always had high cheekbones, a nice jawline and full lips, which helps hold everything up naturally. 🤭
So the surgeon couldn’t find my buccal fat pads at first. I had jaw surgery years ago, upper and lower and she said they wasn’t where they were meant to be. Much lower. It was a struggle but they got there. The one on the right was massive compared to the left. Honestly I am not surprised as I could feel the fat on my face. Anyways looking forward to healing. Gonna try and be upbeat about it. After all I wanted it done x
@XTMorin365 oh Lord 🙈 hang in there! Swelling is gonna go down, and a good dentist can fix anything 😊 the final result for buccal fat removal might take some months though (at least for me it did) Wish you the best xx
I had this done a month ago and love the results. However, the procedure wasn't a walk in the park. To numb the inside of my cheeks, it took MANY shots of anesthetic. Some of these pokes were painful. Also, as they cauterized the tissue, I could smell the smoke from the burning.
2:55 👏👏 Glad u said that my mom and grandma I adore them but yes I have similar face big cheeks and yes as they get older I see it it gets worst the buccal fat hangs and It makes them look older 10 years older once you hit 35 like the lower face males you look super old and like people would say stuff like you don't take care of your face but it's the heaviness of the buccal fat and the skin can't carry 😩 those buccal fat and the skin starts to hangs and strech down .. that's happening to me already I'm 29..I wish I could know this earlier so I could do it at 24 or something I'm still I'm my research..and finding the right surgeon in my area..I'm from the Valley of Texas ..I have done my breast as well..As for right now the painful 😫 one was lipo 360 my breast augmentation I didnt took pain medication because it didnt hurt at all just 2 days but decided not to take because it was just soreness like if you do push-ups that's it..but if get my buccal fat I edit and keep you all informed..
Had mine done in about 13 days now I can see slimming effect and literally zero pain lol and the peak swelling was on my day 3 and 4 but very very minimal swelling I’m quite surprised cus my healing process is like nothing ❤️❤️❤️✨
That’s wonderful to hear, I’m glad you had such wonderful recovery and results! Would you mind giving me a ballpark range to how much yours cost? ♥️♥️♥️
i went to a doctor for a consultation he literally said there were no risks even though i prompted him several times to reveal anything but he was like nope ..he also said that you have to take the entire fat pad out you can't leave some in ....i don't know why he also said the space always fills with fluid and that is normal i don't know to trust him now because he said there were no risks i mean shouldn't he inform me?
Definitely do not ever trust a doctor who says there are no risks, that area carries a huge risk of nerve damage. It also tends to look horrendously bad when people get older as their face sags something awful.
I had mine too (2 years ago). Absolutely love it . I have to say the recovery is hard . Is hard to eat with the scar inside the mouth . Because of that I lost some weight as well.
I'm 29 I want to get it as well..did they take all of the buccal fat? And how many weeks or months did you got back to normal like 0 pain and back to eating and talking normal ,brucing and swelling? And when did people notice your change that you got something done to your face and what was their reaction? People can be mean sometimes I think that the hard part for me 🥺 I'm scare for that most..I got lipo and my family member don't stop to judgd and make funny mean jokes..
@@akkis3090 the procedure itself is not painful, but u will expect to feel some pulling and burning smell. during the recovery, it was not painful BUT eating, brushing teeth are difficult. It was so difficult for me that i lost interest in eating. i ate for the sake of my health. and i had to chew very slow. Also because of that i prefer to drink soup (room temperature). also, one side of my incision still have scar even after few years. but doesnt bother me at all. I really see the result after a year. make sure your dr. does not pull out all the fat. u still need some cushion esp when u are getting old. good luck ;)
@@odettg9106 Hi, my dr. did not remove all of my fat. He specifically mentioned that, removing all fat is not a good idea as you will need some fat when you are old. I didn’t feel pain after the procedure. However, I would say it was a difficult recovery because it took quite long to fully recovered. During that period, it was very difficult to eat and brush teeth. I had to eat very slow and soup most of the time (esp when the scar is still fresh, and the incision is not fully closed). That is why I lost the weight. I didn’t get any bruising, and little bit swollen (which was same as before even fat was removed). The worst-case scenario will be more swollen than before. I think it is easy to mask compare to other procedure since the scar is inside. the excuse to give can be swollen gland or just have wisdom teeth removed etc. Especially during pandemic period, wearing mask can totally mask the swelling. I am sorry that people make fun of your lipo esp your family member! Ignore them, do what makes you happy and feel confidence. I had lipo on my under chin, jowl, tummy, flank and arm and fat transferred to my chest. It makes me more confidence and not worry about those flaws. Besides buccal fat, I would like to highlight that, in future if you want to do more lipo, please think about fat transfer as when we eat, the energy has to store somewhere so fat transfer prevent fat distribution on other areas. Back to buccal fat, I notice the effect of the procedure is after a year. Together with the lipo, my face change from chubby + double chin to sharp and slim. There was a time by best friend took a pic of me (she doesn’t know I did all these) and she thought the pic was distorted because my face was so sharp compared to before. Good luck to you babe ! remember ignore those who make fun of you. You are beautiful with or without the procedure. Also, internal beauty is more important than outside. =)
She is killing me pronouncing it "boo-cal". She may be repeating it they way her doctor says it, but he 100% says it that way because he has an accent.
I like the asian result. That's what I think looks good. I'm asian and even at 50 years old, they still have that chubby cheeks.. So seeing her result makes me want it more 😍😍😍 I'm not into round face ¬¬
The before and after photos are terrible. Please do better.
Dude seriously I was like tf

And the cheeks are collapsing after some time, which requires additional interventions.

Don't do it, please. Your cheeks will collapse after some years.

I don't think I have nice cheekbones like these women.. Does that mean I'm stuck looking like this? 😅 btw, love the video
i’ve been thinking the same thing ! 😂 maybe the only option is to consult to a plastic surgeon
If you don’t have good cheekbones but want this procedure, he said to combine it with a cheekbone augmentation
Everyone looks plastic here. Not a good look
Agreed. I don't get this trend. This isn't attractive.
Day one! Pain is starting to kick in x
If you don’t mind me asking how is your pain and swelling now?
It is not attractive. It looks unnatural on young women. It also guarantees a collapse of the cheek as times past. Nope.
