    I love Sculptra, I recently had lost 75 pounds and had lost a lot of volume in my face. Over the past year I’ve had 8 vials of Sculptra and I’m thrilled with the results. Plus my skin has never looked healthier even at the age of 59.

    Can you please help me. I received 6 to 8 sessions of sculpture treatments over an 18 month period. Toward the middle and end sessions knew things had already gone wrong. I visited two different offices without revealing what the other said. Both said to stop seeing the doctor doing my sessions of sculpting. But it was too late. I have hard knots under my cheeks and between my eyes. I paid for fillers to mask this over the holidays but they are fading out. And now I look more sunken then when I started. The whole situation was a free program I enrolled for help with hiv patients who are face wasting from treatment regiment. But I also have crohn’s and I don’t really think the provider liked me much.

    Beware of Sculptra! In 2019 I went to a dermatologist to fix the acne scars on my face. I was told my face was too hollow and needed Sculptra to add more volume. I was told it was safe and there was nothing to worry about. After the procedure, I developed some large cystic lumps on my face. It took four and a half years to go away and left some scars after it dissolved. It was a nightmare! Never again.

Here are a few tips 1) try to find someone who does this full time, meaning they are not doing it on the side 2) look at their before and after photos 3) make sure they look natural looking 4) ask what happens if there is a complication to ensure they have some sort of protocol in place. Are you looking for someone who is well experienced in Sculptra?

      Hi Rraina. You are not the first person who has heard that Sculptra should not be used in the NLF’s. The nasolabial folds are actually the only area of the face that has FDA approval to treat with Sculptra. The company that makes Sculptra, Galderma, is about to get approval for the cheek area any day now. So we have been treating all the other areas of the face and body off-label. Be sure to sub and turn on notifications 🔔 because my next video will be about all the areas of the face and body you can treat with Sculptra.

    For those who want the model look face, high cheek bones… what’s the point of using Sculptra?

    • @NaturalInjector
      @NaturalInjector  Рік тому

      If you do want the model look that’s fine, maybe Scuptra is not a good fit for you now BUT it will likely be in the future. Usually ppl with those features, high cheekbones, will fall into the aging category of sinker, and Sculptra is great for sinkers. I have had one patient who has been with me for many years say to me that they like the chic heroine look. After around 7 years we started her Scultpra journey because she had too much definition to her face because of the loss of collagen that happens with aging. So while you may like the model look now, with aging you may notice that it can make the face become harsh from the loss of collagen

    • @NaturalInjector
      @NaturalInjector  Рік тому +3

      Very true. I agree that chubbier cheeks and more fullness doesn’t always make someone more attractive. Too much fullness in the face causes lack of definition. I feel she would probably be most attractive in between the 2 video comparisons. Some ppl really like a more structured face but I feel too much structure makes faces appear too harsh and it loses it’s softness. She’s beautiful either way though.

      @@DW... 5 vials. Interesting. I have never seen or heard of anyone looking unnatural from Sculptra s it stimulates your own collagen with looks and feels like your own skin, because it is. It can give you a more rounded look for sure, because you are restoring collagen. When we are younger, like in our twenties, we tend to have rounder features, depending on your aging category. Fat is kid of subjective also. So I would have to see how your cousin looked before and how she looks now to give my opinion. Did your cousin gain weight? I always ask this to my Scultpra patients when I am assessing their photos because weight definitely effects the face.

    The comparisons with very young faces is not so helpful, because women's faces dont look their best when they have the puffy face of a 17year-old but around 25 year old with some contouring in the face. The photos of the girl look now heavy in the lower face, which is unfortunately what makes women look older. Maybe there will be no jowling after Sculptra in the lateral cheek side but she looks much squarer now in the lower face like older women.

    • @NaturalInjector
      @NaturalInjector  Рік тому

      Hi Sandra. I do agree that some people look better as they age because when we are young we have such an abundance of fat pads and we don’t have as much definition to our faces. A good example would be J Lo. I feel she looked better in her late 30’s and 40’s than she did when she was in her early 20’s because she lost some youthful fat. The comparison was just for the sole purpose of educating. I wasn’t suggesting that we all look our best when we are 17 I just wanted to show what happens with aging.
      The model looks softened and her skin has thickened after treatment. I don’t fee she looks much more square but has more of a youthful glow.

    Tbh, i can't tell any difference between the before and afters on the patients with Sculptra. I really wanted to see it, but I just don't. Also, im terrified of the whole "wait and see" approach. Plus ive heard that Sculptra can really complicate things, causing significant scarring. This was noticed by plastic surgeons peforming facelifts on patients who had previously gotten Sculptra. And my biggest deterrent are the stories of women who developed hard lumps (granulomas) several months and sometimes up to a year later. They had tried everything to treat and get rid of them and nothing helped. To those of you who've tried it and love it, that's great! But the cons seem to outweigh th pros for me.

They can only say it can last for however long the study goes out to BUT this does not mean Scultpra wouldn’t last for longer than 2 years.
