Something that is really important to know here is that this is not Celine Dion's song therefore this is not a cover of Celine Dion.
In order to give credit where credit is due and not where it doesn't belong this song was written and recorded by Eric Carmen in 1975. The song became a number two hit for him.
Celine Dion's version of the song was itself a cover of Eric Carmen's song as is Dimash's version.
Please also watch his version in the I am Singer competition in China 2017, it will knock your socks off too!
I still prefer the version from his New York concert, it’s much more playful and more connected to the audience. And I also want to recommend again the duet of this song by Dimash and his lovely sister Raushan.

Just a technicality which is not your fault but rather whoever originally titled this performance. By the very definition of "cover song," only the original artist and hitmaker of a song (Eric Carmen) can be covered, not someone who didn't even get around to recording her version until 22 years after the fact (Celine Dion)! It's simply a matter of credit where credit is due. Carmen wrote the lyrics, recorded the song and took it to the highest position it ever attained on the Billboard charts. He would have every right to be offended that someone else is getting the credit for the hard work he did to make this song a pop music masterpiece worthy of being covered. Several reactors have recognized the error in the title and have corrected it to appropriately acknowledge Eric Carmen as the artist being covered.
You are right because it is Carmen’s original song. I don’t know why most people says it is Dion’s!
@@deb9869 I think they just go with the inaccurate title that was put under the original video---and some are simply not interested in who originally created it, sadly. I do try to point it out every time I see it, though. If I were Eric Carmen, I would be pretty upset that Celine keeps getting credit for my work.

People who take music seriously, however, are generally interested in knowing the history of songs that they appreciate, and I never fault younger reactors for not necessarily knowing before a number of Dears have brought it up. I do, however, have an issue with whomever it was that originally uploaded the videos to youtube with Celine Dion's name attached as the artist being covered. That should never have happened---and, again, music industry folks are understandably concerned that the correct artists are acknowledged.
