    I looked for other videos, but the real thing was here. It may be that I wasn't good at searching, but :-D I felt relieved

    This is the solution I needed. Thanks a ton. I have tried about 11 times by now but always an error occurs but this helped me.

    Thanks for sharing this. Nice and tidy explanation with good tips. Very helpful. +1 for the comment below - to select distance per revolution and then enter the pitch. Thanks!

    For me it's not working, I cannot select any surface that you are pointing out. Could be an issue because the thread of the screw was modeled with the "thread" option?

    • @gabrielhofmann2029
      @gabrielhofmann2029 3 роки тому

      i had the same issue, modeling the thread and screw manually worked for me. I used the helix + sweep cut

    Nice video man ! But I have one advice at 2:37 ... you can just check Distance/revolutions box and enter pitch of a screw so yout don't have to count threads per lenght of a screw.

    Hi, when I try to select the two meeting faces it says selected entity is not valid for current mate type. This when i try to select the two face you have shown the apex on the screw and negative apex on the bolt. Could you help?

    Part of the problem might be that the nut has a clockwise thread, but the bolt's thread is anticlockwise. They will always interfere.

  • @baptistpope
    @baptistpope Рік тому

    Kinda a cool. But I don't think I'd ever use this. Modeled helical threads is almost always unnecessary (thanks McMaster Carr!). Maybe if this mate translates to an animation for assembly instructions, so I could show a nut screwing/unscrewing. I just have to believe there's a simpler way to do that.

    Funny, it doesn't work for me. I select the 1st face, just like in this video, and it selects fine, then I try to select the second face just like in this video, and I get "selected entity is not valid for this mate type (?).
