Between rng in glyph xp and rng in tempering, it's clear that blizz loves wasting our time. We have enough rng in the item chase that I don't want it in my crafting or progression.
I miss build diversity. Season 0-3 I enjoyed trying different builds all season. But the past 2 seasons have just forced us to play winterglass or be ok with being weak. I really wanted to try meteor this season and was so incredibly disappointed with how bad it was. I hope we get buffs so there is a reason to try other builds. Not everything has to be top tier but it should all at least be good, and right now it's not.
I am desperately trying to play upheavel barb. But that's just doesn't work. Even when it's get strong the gameplay with it stays so clunky that you want to cut trough your veins.
WT4 being efficient is simply not there. Ancestral item drop rates are abismal. The difference in MW and Tempering between ancestral and non-ancestral items is simply too much. I think a 2nd temper option should be added to the non ancestral items...
You're right about a lot. We need more information. If you can do everything without level 100 glyphs then why bother unless you just want something to do. One of the things that could need changing is the loot drop from bosses just being uniques on T1 unless the hordes become the place for legendary gear. Not really a fan on runes but it's not a bad thing. I think overall that it's going to be a positive even with them making gear we already have worthless for the second time in 3 seasons. Was surprised with how high the damage numbers already are.
Yeah in the ptr we barely seen any ancestral legendary gear … hopefully that is fixed … I think renewers will evolve eventually this is just the start of them.
I'll try to stay positive and patient. One day I hope we will see horadric cube. I m sure alot of new content is still in works. I played both D1 and D2 3000 years ago and it was not perfect. There is alot of potential we just need to wait.
I've only ever played sorcerer in this game. I have never tried one of the other classes. Even when sorcerer was at his worst I was still playing it. So when season six starts and surprisingly, I'm going to play a sorcerer. However, I am only going to play it to about paragon 100. Then I will start a spirit born this way I can do the campaign with my sorcerer And push forward to endgame and have a little bit of fun. Then I will try the spirit born and if I don't like it, my sorcerer will have 100 paragon points and I can go back to it. If I do spirit born well it's got 100 paragon points to start with, once I finish level it of course that is my planned sorcerer is still number one
I dont think the new difficulty "progression" system is more fun and engaging than how it is right now. I feel like we have good progression now and this takes the actual progression away. gearing up through normal, sacred, ancestral was progression for me. Once you get to the end game and you're farming Ubers for that perfect GA, Unique and Mythic was fun for me. We just needed more to do not change it and start back @ square one. I guess people dont remember how it started and what everyone complained about to get change.
Game sucked on release and up to now. It was boring and had artificial progression. Anything u find didn’t matter from normal to sacred. Being able to find something early on that can be used in endgame is what good itemization is. Everything works around weapon dmg and multiplicative dmg. Everything else in between means nearly nothing. Bad design. Worst ARPG ever since D3 that’s on the market right now. Grim dawn is more interesting then this game. That’s sad coming from a AAA company. IMO AAA gaming is not where the real games are anymore, it’s all about $$$$ now and nothing else.

I agree that you should level glyphs just playing the game. I think they moved them to the pit to force players to play the pit because no one was playing it.
I don't think that the PTR should be where difficulty can be accurately measured. Especially since all variables are provided to you. With all that said. I like Diablo 4 and look forward to season 6 and expansion.
221 paragon and the bar is barely moving in T90 Pit. They should speed this up. Am not willing to grind few hours a day for 3 months to get 1 char maxed. Ancestral drops are too rare as well. PTR was a chore. This is not a good direction.
Leveling glyphs was better in nightmare dungeons because there's more loot in nightmare dungeons. There's chests and event's and elites that can give you items. In the pit you get like 4 items in lower tiers. Limiting us to 5 paragon boards is boring. I get armor and resistance cap from gear so I have paragon points and nowhere to put them. The glyph changes are bad, all they do is give us more multipliers all the time so we do insane amount of damage so everything is to easy. They should have made new paragon boards instead. I went to torment 4 without runes and new uniques and it was to easy. I didn't even have ancestral legendary because they are extremely rare. The best thing will be the new zones, the new campaign and mercenaries.
This PTR made a huge mistake. Before friday we needed our character to be level one and only get our old toons and gear on friday with the boosting npcs. Now nobody know how the paragon progression really feels. Runes would probably be bettwr if there was really a stat squish, the way they did we are still hitting billions so flavour runes like meteor drops will never have any utility
Kelfka, just start off with Spiritborn - try it out. Seems like Sorc will just be lightning spear sorc again and again. There won't be gauntlets in season 6, so no leaderboards whatsoever, so no reason to stick to meta builds.
I tried to make a charged bolt sorc without light spear. Well, it's just doesn't work. No matter how much you sit above the game and trying to min max and theory craft. Without light spear, all the sorc builds just meh
We’re going to spend most time in the pits killing mobs with no item drops. ARPGs have always been all about item/currency drops. The whole philosophy behind this game is broken. SNOOZE FEST!
Blizzard has totally killed off any remaining hope I had for the game.. I'm a solo player only... The paragon system and the runes just make the grind much, much longer and much much more annoying to get something.. Gear drops are incrdibly horrible in s5 already (and basically since release of the game) where it is quantity over quality and that doesn't change.. Blizzard can't get it through their heads that it only means that people have a second job salving their entire inventory overy and over and over and over again. This is the least satisfying game to play after level 80. The runewards add nothing to the game.. It is 5 mins work just to be able to say.. hey we added runes... Not intersted in the citadel as I'm a solo player so locked out of most content anyway even though I would be paying for it.. Which I won't as I won't be getting the DLC. You can bet there will only one class being hugely overpowered and that is the 'new' class since they want people to buy. I'm done. Oh and 1*Ga's don't mean crap.. If the item is crap (which it will be) ANd you are saying there is a ton of content in seasons 6 you can't test.. Wouldn't hold my breath... Blizzard so far has never delivered on d4. I think you are vastely overestimating what is left out.

There are more than one problems First of all is the legendary stubbornness of dev team to give any, and I mean ANY monster evolutions in the late game Secondly the absolutely stubborn and dare I say sadistic design of the game to be intended for blasters and blasters only - meaning designing things that have to be beaten 500 times to matter And thirdly - sticking to the stubborn stupid approach of game being about loot (rather than content) and the most idiotic dare I say reward-first mentality when introducing something in the game The last bit has a small caveat in which - if you defeat pit 10 levels highly than your current guarantees the rewards at the end, and if you defeat 20 levels higher than the rewards get doubled Instead of doing that why not make the whole thing a milestone instead of a chore, but reduce the requirements to 5 and 10 levels In fact why not make a glyph of your choice the level of the cleared pit level? That's how you get a milestone, a potential ceiling, and one less chore to be doing in the game
In my opinion stat squish doesn't work and it wont work until the game gonna rid off from multiplicative dmg bonuses. Those are just too valuable to not use them and they always going to push your dmg out if the roof. 1 solution could be lower monster Hp but give them armor, resistance and so you can have armor piercing/reduction and elemental penetration affixes on gear and spells. Give monsters and bosses HP like this really no matter. You don't have to fear to die in pit you just stand there is have to click so many times. Utter stupid
The glyph system is fine it’s the other 99% of the game that’s pointless af like open world the entire mmo part of the game .. bosses have no personality or soul or anything.. all the armors are the same shit no armor diff no intrinsics no variety all the shit takes up the same amount of hexes no stat investment no item requirements you can thrown on one aspect like calm breeze and it makes the entire game irrelevant they need to move the aspects idea and power to the skill trees and classes breathe some fuckn life and originality into them.. white blue yellow items are pointless af class balance is a nightmare the game is so fuckn unstable nothing matters
