Agree with all point except the last. What you were talking about is all about PTR changes, and that's neither the full content of the Expansion, nor it is unchanged on live. Plus, there's a lot of people care about lore + campaign as well
Well the campaign doesnt really bother a lot of players, since it has no replayability since blizzard basically forces you to skip it. So its just an ~1 hour playthrough and then you forget about it, so I dont really see it as content which really matters for a "live service game". Its content to sell boxes to make shareholders happy, thats really it.
Blizzard could have added to the game instead of taking away. The gutted actual fun progression through WTs. They could have added Torment levels after WT4 for people who like more of a challenge. Or like PoE they could have made these changes in a Ruthless Mode (Make drops more rare, make enemies health and damage scale higher.)
great review. diablo3's illness infected d4'S all body which is ''x'' type of damage as you said. multipliers. for the solition of this boring power creep is priceless 15:50 great suggestion.thx
yeah its very depressing the game fundamentals havent changed a single bit since launch. Pretty much we are now more than one year into "just chaninging numbers and adding more multipliers". The last season mechaninc which was actually game altering we got was actually season 1 with malignant heart. S2 was cool but the abilitys were not really game altering, mostly just stats. And since then? Basically no interesting updates other thatn the itemization stuff.
Hi, good coverage overall :) I agree on all the points. The game is very boring for the casual player (2-4h/day). The dropping rate for the ancestral items is very bad. On t4 it should be 4x the amount currently there. T3 = 3x.. etc. The multipliers I dont think are that bad, just needs tunning. It is nice to feel the progression when getting new gear. Overall I think the end game is just grind and not fun. Cheers, c
Isn't there going to be a continuation to the story with new cinamatics? I suppose some of the money would have to go into that. Is it worth the money? That depends on the individual I suppose. But I completely agree with you on the multipliers, I don't know what they are thinking but since they steal ideas (Tempering) from other games can't they steal their combat system aswell? lol.

@@GoldfarmingGuide Not really, some players actually a huge amount of them only play Diablo for the story, and some like you will skip it because you want to make builds and all, so the skip caters to you and not those players. So money goes into that for that audience, not to please investors but to please a certain demographic of players. Some players are hyped for the expansion because they want to go through the campagin and once done they will leave the game and wait for the next one, it's also something you find in WOW actually, Blizzard has always had two communities on their games. So that content does matter, just not to you, which is fine.
I agree with many points here, but discussing the value of the upcoming expansion without talking about the story campaign seems pointless. In addition, there will be a new dungeon, the new raid, the new region with many things to discover (certainly not 15min), new bosses, mercenaries, new (free) transmogs and mounts and a new class. Is that worth 40 bucks, idk, but it's certainly more than a season patch 😏

We got those in season 5 - nobody plays them. Will be the same story I would assume. And yeah the raid. Nobody knows whats that gonna be, but to me it sounds like another bait to buy the expansion.
@GoldfarmingGuide lol, the campaign is not a 1h playthrough, it's at least 4h ... IF you skip every cutscene, dialog and side quest. For most players it's 15-30h content and for literally millions its the only thing they've ever seen from Diablo 4. It is also the only reason why D4 can sell as a AAA title. The expansion will be miles away from any seasonal content. Just because you're not interested in the story, you shouldn't completely ignore it in your evaluation 😏. Diablo is not PoE.
@@flowqi212but once you played the campaign, you never going back with any of your class cuz you can not get skill points, paragon points, anything. It would be just a waste of time. People can argue whats more boring. To do campaign for the 100th time, but I think the current way to level1 jump in helltide and repeat it till you are max level (meanwhile you are forced to to nmd and greater rifts) are insanely lazy from the Devs and in my opinion is even more boring.
@KrigHammar ofc, it's story mode after all, you don't play this for twinking or endgame progression, but to dive into the lore and world of Diablo. I'm currently replaying the story to prepare for VoH and it's really interesting how completely different the game feels in this mode.
The game right now is, how you can kill a boss in less than 5 seconds and not ever know how to do any actual mechanic of the boss. Now this is good for bad players lets be honest, but how is it fun? Cause all the game is at that point is RNG on drops and how much time you plan on putting into getting said drops to ultimately lose them all at season end to do it over again. The game right now is awful, you get gear to ultimately do nothing with it....boss kill drops from 1.5 seconds to .9 seconds....wooopie!
It’s cuz the itemization is so bad there is no pace to it.. u get all ur shit just by existing in the game.. seasonal content gives u nothing to take back to eternal like ind2 the drop rates were a bit to low but it was still exciting and with full trading u could achieve ur build.. d4 half ass trading the best items u can craft fairly easy aspects are so op that it makes class balance a nightmare and class identity.. everyone is a cc blaster the game is so fucked to its core it will never be fixed and needs 10 years of development the game is a mobile game for casuals
Even if they did fix itemization and class balance the game would still suck ass empty open world pointless game play pointless pit no incentive to do anything PvP is a meme seasonal content is a meme eternal realm is a meme the game sucks they should just scrap d4 and start over.. completely over and I’ll go play throne and liberty and poe2 till they present a game worth 70$ with a actual game to the game
there is no way they fix items because the core problem of the game is the awful piece of crap skill system we have, every skill feels the same therefore every build feels the same, just spam your core ability until shit is dead... there is nothing interesting to test and since skills are shit items are shit since those are built to enhance said abilities, no fun in any way, even the afixes are the same for every build, attack speed, crit, crit dmg... you can play any class and it's like playing any other, there is no class identity... nothing, its just a blurry mess filled with bugs... can't wait for PoE2 to kick this game into non existance

Would be cool if they made the uniques function as Ubers but then like lvl 20 you can put them on
I could equip uniques at level 1 in the PTR. Not sure if that was intended but I had a full kit once I made a character lol
