Can you delete the zip option? I know for a fact that the radio reference data base is bunk! Aka snake oil. I'd rather program what I want to hear, rather than false data, or stuff I can't hear
Yes, Follow these steps do disable the database. 1. Menu 2. Set Scan selection 3. Select lists to monitor 4. Turn full database and search with scan off 5. Press the "System" key to go back to scanning
Confused about this too. I thought I could just type in a zip code and listen to local frequencies but there's a note taped to the box saying Don't use the zip code button if I had them preprogram the scanner. So if I type my zip code to get the full database I'm going to wipe out what was preprogrammed is the way I'm understanding it. What if I travel to another county that I don't have programmed? Can I use the zip code search there?
@@066motocrossu can still use the zip code feature (I haven’t used my own ZIP but have used others) u just have to go back and turn the scan list off for full database after you are done. It did NOT erase my preprogrammed counties I paid for.

When I disable the zip code there is nothing. In the select list to monitor
@James Patterson If you don't have any favorites lists in the radio there won't be any additional options unless you add a favorites list.
The old school way to remember is that a bank list is now days called the favorite list! And you can have 256 favorite lists!
