I’m 51 and I’m on a hiatus from dating 😬 and I just want to explore…. I have had a cycle of bad relationship experiences and I’m ready to just explore new things find what I really like to do and discover what I’ve been missing. I retire in 3 years and I’m not trying to settle but I’m ready for a adventure. Thanks for this video it gave me some confidence in my decision.
Same here… I’m about to turn 41 and coming out of a very toxic relationship! I’ve never put myself 1st I’m always thinking about others. I just want to be single and enjoy myself by myself!
I’m 46. After my breakup a few years ago, I traveled solo to Paris, then Alaska, then Alaska again. DO IT! It’s so liberating to do things alone. I love being single. ✌🏼
This video is great for solo male travelers too. I just did NYC too. Had a blast, and probably going back this Spring. 2 days wasn't enough. Chicago was great too.
@@orianaztar Hi sorry just saw this. When do you plan on going? Depending on what type of stay you want, I stayed near 45th street, Manhattan/Midtown East, and I felt like it was pretty central. I walked to 5th Street, apx. 25 minute walk. Everything seemed nearby and this is where I went (I went during Christmastime). -Bryant Park -The Rockefeller Center -Macy's -Saks 5th Avenue -Upper East Side -Central Park -St. Peter's Cathedral -The Vessel (I walked and only recommend walking it during the morning). -Time Square -etc. For Cheap/good souvenirs: Memories of NY. There is so MUCH. I stayed 3-4 days but didn't go down to Brooklyn. I think every area has a bit different vibe, so you can do some research and see what type of stay you want and what area best suits your plan and ofc stay safe! :)
Someone mentioned Chicago and I second that! I live here and there is so much to do, but it's not too overwhelming. It's also super easy to get around through public transportation.
Chicago is where I’m considering going for a trip by myself. I am worried about public transportation because I don’t want to drive everywhere obviously.
Myrtle Beach and Key West, FL have been my favorite solo travel spots. Chicago can be as well (since I live here) but I do think people should just be cautious wherever they travel. Stay well.
I have traveled to all 50 states, some numerous times, and I cannot believe you do not mention some of our most beautiful national parks, my personal favorites are Glacier NP, Yosemite NP, Mount Ranier NP, Yellowstone NP, and Bryce Canyon NP. The city I think is one of the best to go to in the US is Washington DC for it's museums and history.
Turning 22 fresh out of a 4 year relationship. Ready to travel and meet new people all by myself!! Sounds childish but I’m young so whatever lol thank you for the re assurance!!
I would also suggest Chicago. It's an urban environment but it's not as extreme as New York. There's alot of great attractions and museums. Theres shopping and very delicious food. It's an easy city to navigate because the mass transit system is very easy to use. It's not as dangerous as it's made out to be. The areas with tourist attractions (downtown and north side) are very safe. It's certain neighborhoods on west and south sides that have high crime.
@@ChrisSchaecher Winter is especially bad however. I live in Detroit and almost never need gloves or ear covering here and it does snow here. But in Chicago there is so much cold wind, despite being one of the best walkable cities in the US, it is still difficult to walk there if you aren't used to the cold or don't have the gear for it.
I watched about 50 traveling videos this week trying decide where to go. And this was the best one by far best. Hello there, as a tourist from Brazil I would definitely recommend San Francisco. In my opinion, it is the most beautiful capital in US, followed by Chicago, which is also a good place to go. I am currently planning to go to Tampa area and New Orleans.... let's see how it goes.

I had just two days in NOLA and wanted good seafood. French Quarter seemed way too touristy. Walked by a distant Voodoo Temple and Marriage Garden about 7 PM that was open for a wedding. The bay area is not safe especially San Francisco/Oakland. Not only that, but the police wont respond to anything that doesnt involve violence or an immediate threat. I have my dog with me..
I should know more about the US too besides the foreign countries.
Great video… I don’t know about solo travel though. I did see a guy in most of your camera shots. Lol
I meet lots of people on the road when I travel. Would be sad and lonely if I didn’t! Both male and female (and non-binary too). Doesn’t mean I didn’t start that trip alone nor does it mean what you’re insinuating.
I've decided to take a solo vacation for my 30th birthday...what's the best birthday vacation destination?!
oooh any of them could be. depends what you want!
@@Bemytravelmuse So far Bora Bora stands out as i want a beautiful island to snorkel...however it seems like its more aimed at honeymooners. would this still be an ideal solo destination?
@@devinolson9092 Probably not so much alone

My pleasure!
Thanks for great information
nice video, where do you land your drone when youre in rocky areas?
I usually find a flat enough area to land it, or I catch it in my hand. That's a little more advanced though!
What camera or drone do you use? Looks so nice!
