distance horizon mod is one of the best mod ever made.

Now we just need a mod that makes terrain that's vertically to scale with real terrain (basically oceans that go as deep as 11km/11000 blocks and mountains that go as high as 9km from sea level/9000 blocks)
The average real open ocean alone is already like 3000 mc blocks deep, and your average mountain is at least 1000 mc blocks from base to top... While MC mountains are at most just like 300 blocks, and the oceans are shallow af

This is one of those things I genuinely can't wrap my mind around why it's not in the vanilla game. It adds so much to the experience.
давно пора понять что разработчики леньтяи большинство обновлений направлены на изменение боевой системы и внедрением большей части RPG. Забыв то что Minecraft это песочница. Можно смело играть с версии 1.16.0 с куча подобных модов на Fabric с модом на оптимизацию и наслаждаться картинкой . А ждать пока mojang добавят расширенные настройки мира очень долго.

@@fldom4610 It doesn't ruin performance lol, this is exactly the point of the mod, increasing performance by generating "fake chunks" (LOD of the existing ones or not generated).

crazy how just increasing the draw distance and throwing on some shaders can make it feel like a completely different game. The sense of wonder it injects into the world is immense. Makes me feel like I could relive the feeling of awe while exploring a minecraft world that I experienced as a little kid playing it for the first time.
sadly the gameplay is too repeative and boring and simple to fit thisurge to explore such a bog and beautiful worlds

Will add this to the very long list of Things That Belong In Vanilla Minecraft But Will Take Mojang A Decade To Do Anything About It.
For those who really want the best experience, either get Reterraforged or Tectonic as your terrain generator as Terralith is primarily made for shorter render distances and packs a ton of terrain detail into a small area. At high render distances the terrain looks messier and more cluttered whereas Terraforged and Tectonic smooth out the terrain and make it far more pleasing to the eye at such long render distances.
Also Distant Horizons apparently does load it's own chunks to make LODs with, I thought it needed a chunk pregenerator but it doesn't weirdly enough. It just builds the LODs so slow it's ridiculous, you have to let it run over night or something to actually accomplish anything.
Yeah these videos are great but if you want to just casually load up and play its not that practical, i use nvidium if you have a graphics card thats 2018+. Can Play smoothly 64+ chunks on over 120 fps!
Oh man, there’s a mod that lets you pre render stuff in a designated radius around the player character. It takes a bit but it’s much faster and less tedious than flying around getting stuff to load. I’ll reply back with what I use when I figure it out again lol

@@viperstar6229 It's Reterraforged, the new port of Terraforged which was abandoned at 1.18.2.
@@jimjones-lr7ob There's the Chunk Pregenerator for Fabric and there's Chunky for Forge, Noisium and C2ME are also available for fabric but frankly they still don't do much in terms of speed of LOD building.

In-fact I thought the same thing, the scenery here is akin to movie cgi, it's literally unbelievable how the modders were able to make Minecraft 2, before the devs could push out another pathetic mob vote.

It's actually mind blowing to see minecraft in this way, To help put this in perspective, In the 10+ years of playing minecraft since it's release, I've only ever seen a render distance of over 50 JUST ONCE, and it was laggy as hell, This is just next level

@@jados5504 well yeah. Optifine has 64 chunks as just a render distance option, and obviously worked with everything else. Way worse performance than what we'll soon have with Iris+DH though

This is amazing. I was playing this over and over with the song "Atreju Meets Falkor" from Neverending Story in the background. Made this world even more magical. Could we have another video with the same mods and world but make it like a fast fly through, getting close to the water, going through the canyons etc.

If I were Microsoft/Mojang, I would be keenly interested in incorporating an official implementation of this mod into Minecraft.
Microsoft/Mojang are interested only in getting profit from literally nothing. Any work is investment of time and money, and, believe me, no existing modern big studio will give a hack of what players want and invest more than can give at least some profit.

I love this showcase since it depicts all the good but also bad things about this.
It is one of the few that shows the amazing landscapes of terralith instead of terraforged. But in the same picute show that terralith is to "small" in biome size and realism for those render distances.
Also it show the problem of how things are rendered at distances, most noticable when flying forward and getting to render "cuts" when things get in close range.
Make one rly think about what shaders or foliage mods one should use or rather not to make it immersive!
