Dr. Keeling plays a piece that made my associations meander between Debussy and Ravel, but farther into the piece I thought it was too modern with a bit of cinematic influence. As she says, later in the video, it's by Korean composer Ms. Heeyoung Yang and is called "Blue Wave". Before her, Ms. Morales plays the Sonata in C-Sharp Minor, K 247, by Domenico Scarlatti (1685 .. 1757). About the latter piece, it was said that, upon initial playing this Baroque piece, it did not seem to make sense. Well, when Baroque sounds broke (Anglo-Saxon pronunciation of the word aside), then I would wonder about the difference between central A tuning of the instrument of Scarlatti's age and how tonal distances got tuned back then. I don't think it sounds better on an old instrument (to my ears), by the way, but guess that this would "explain" a lot or give context. The Shigeru sounds really very well.
