Playing piano like guitar was a big breakthrough for me, I figured out that if I treat my left hand like my fretting hand then I can be really loose with my strumming (right) hand. Stride piano suddenly became natural and my hand independence accelerated greatly

Learning should be fun always and everyone is unique we all like different syles and tunes. Get a good teacher preferably for free😊and get a list of every song you would like to play and just pick small pices to practise at a time

Play with a goal. That's the issue with children learning the piano. It's often the parent goal.
My only counsel for piano is be patient. If you are not patient, lucky you. Learning piano will make you patient.
An extra tip: Film or record your performance once a month your progress or the new song that you learn and you will see progress.

Thanks for sharing. One question: is there any chance to get the score of the intro music? I find it's actually a lovely tune for practising.

I disagree that you can only learn to play (or do anything) when you have fun. Achievements and and reaching goals are motivation for many. Current approach to learning or competing is “everyone is a winner”. Unfortunately, not everyone can learn certain skills and be (objectively) successful. I was also deceived by some “teachers” that playing for fun (with lots of simplifications) would motivate me. Fortunately, I soon realized that I worked for many years to be good at my profession and I have to have the same approach to learning to play piano.
Your advice and methods of learning will never lead anyone to playing more demanding (not simplified) classical music pieces with proper expression, articulation and dynamics.

    Pianoforte.
Soft and loud, into the fray.
    Now pray, sit and play.
Stay in key for me to stay.
Then, we'll play this grand fine day.
