I just discovered your videos a couple of days ago. I love them all.... and thoroughly enjoyed this one! I love your selection of music with this.... just so peaceful.
I live in a village in England with no shops. We have a pub, a church, a school with around 60 pupils and a village hall. It’s peaceful and I love it 😊
Enjoyed the walk through the "blissful" little villages. I especially liked the white Georgian. So glad to see the iconic red phone booths are still around and repurposed.
Loved it! Definitely not boring in my eyes. Beautiful. Being from America, I’m not too surprised with the cost of that home with the location, history, etc. Anyway, thank you. Your video was something i needed at the moment. 😊
The pure white home in Thorpe Langton was my favorite. The white color is so unique. I am amazed that the grass is still so green this time of year in England. And the red phone boxes have always been a favorite of mine. Thank you for this magical tour. You are very blessed to live where you do! Happy New year, Angela!
Aww thank you! Yes, we are still looking quite green everywhere, but weirdly “winter” doesn’t feel like it’s started yet, it’s very mild here, and we’ve had so much rain, our village flooded in a few places…wishing you a very happy & healthy new year! 🥂😘
@@hideawaycottage Oh, I’m sorry to hear of the flooding. I hope it didn’t cause too much damage. Thank you!…Wishing you a healthy and Happy New Year as well!
Hehe 😉 I’m glad I’m not the only one who plays the game, I’m always so fussy to, saying things like “well, I wouldn’t have that shaped swimming pool” or “I don’t like the windows” when clearly I’d never be able to afford a million pound house anyways 🤔😂😂
Hello Angela, Happy and healthy New year to you and your familiy!🍀🥂🍾 Thank you very much for sharing this wonderful walk with the different houses. I would take the thatched cottage. It looks so cosy. I would love to have a red telephone box in my garden😄. I bought a Christmas tree bulb with a english letter box and a little dog on it. So cute! And a red telephone box at Käthe Kruse Christmas Shop in Heidelberg. Do you know this Christmas Shop? It's gorgeous! I love to see the english countryside and houses while you are walking. Have a lovely week, Gabi😘
Hello Gabi! Wishing you also a very happy and healthy new year! I’m so pleased you enjoyed the “walk” It’s strange because I’ve not visited Germany, except for Heidelberg! Many years ago, when I was a teen! I remember it as being very beautiful 🤩 I’d love to explore more of Germany one day! Sending you good wishes for the first week of 2024 🤗🥂
Thanks for sharing these beautiful homes! All are amazing, very difficult decision on which one! I did like the one with the picnic table and pond. Happy New Year! Look forward to more video's like this one.

Just found your channel and I’m loving your content, been binge watching 😂 Love the village tours so stunning and you have a gorgeous home! 🏡 new subscriber from Australia 🇦🇺
Blissfully beautiful and excellent photography. I just found your delightful channel and am looking forward to seeing more of your videos. I am starting to take down Christmas decor and this was a peaceful respite. Thank you, from coastal North Carolina, USA.
Welcome aboard! So happy you’re here 🤗 I really appreciate your kind comment, Thank you! Oh taking down the Christmas decor is a big job isn’t it? it took us a whole day, it’s not as much fun as putting it all out, that’s for sure! Wishing you a very happy & healthy 2024 🥰
I was in the pub in Tur Langton, opposite the 1665 house with the wonky window, on New Year’s Eve afternoon ! The Church, almost opposite, is really strange, it’s built in brick and is massive in proportion to the village. Really beautiful English village. All round there really waterlogged at that time !
Oh my!! Do you live locally too? We said the exact same thing!!! What a large and (sorry to say) ugly church 😂 it doesn’t seem to fit in? Beautiful village though so we won’t hold it against them haha
@@hideawaycottage No, I live in Chesterfield, but my daughter and son in law live in Mountsorrel, near Quorn and I try to visit them as often as I can , but they are both still working. I really love Leicestershire and would like to move down there sometime in the future. We called in the Coach and Horses art Queniborough on the way back, which is another lovely village round there and the pub is lovely.
Hey Sarah! Thank you, glad you enjoyed the little walk around… we had a lovely Christmas thank you, although it flew by! Wishing you a very happy & healthy 2024 🥂😘
Thank you for the beautiful tour. Definitely blissful, in no way boring! I’m in Canada which I love but I also love to see all of your British scenery & architecture. I would take any one of the cottages you presented. I would also quite happily move into your own home! Especially if it included all your furnishings & decor. ❤ Loving your content. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
Fellow Canadian here too 🙂 I live in a small house with a blue front door..decorated in the English country style. Probably as close as I’ll get to living in the real deal. Absolutely loved this tour. Beautiful country 😊
You are so welcome! I’m so pleased to have you here 🤗 thank you for the wonderful compliment… wishing you a year of good health and happiness, cheers to 2024 🥂
I loved this video and could easily imagine living in any of these cottages. Almost like a dream. Wishing you a very Happy New Year! All the best for 2024! ❤️🎉
Never fails to amaze me how green things remain over there throughout the winter. I would live in any one of those homes, they all look magical to me 😌✨🍀
Yes! We are still very green everywhere so far, but I have to say “winter” has get to really kick in! It’s been weirdly mild… although we are having so much rain, our village had some flooding yesterday x
Thank you for the visit. I couldn’t pick one of the homes. They seemed so large to me. I live in a small house about 1100 square feet. But they were all beautiful with lovely lawns. 😊
Thank you so much for watching. Smaller homes have many advantages, less to tidy and heat for one! And always cosy! I shall have to make a video in the spring or summer, as everyone’s garden looked as if they had lots of flowers 🌸
Blissful xx I would have any of them xxxx (if money was no object) as long as my next home is in such a peaceful setting xxx Happy new year to all xxx See you in 2024 Angela xxxxx
Lovely. I live in the US and I just love the old architecture over in England that we don't have much of here. Like the curves for example, we have mostly squares and rectangles in our buildings.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching 😊 oh yes, we do have lots of wonky and curved walls, we alway say our cottage hasn’t a single straight wall or floor, haha, we had to cut the back legs off our sideboard so it was level 😂
Thank you for the lovely video Angela! Hubby would like a Georgian house, but I'd prefer a cottage. That said all of the ones you filmed are beautiful. I'm so nosey, I'd love to see inside them all...😅 I've loved following you this year, and look forward to seeing more in 2024. Happy and healthy new year to you all, and I hope your dad is continuing to do well.. 🎉🎉
Dear Shelia, I’m so grateful to have your kindness and support- Thank you 😊 I think I’d like a Georgian house for the high ceilings! Our son is now 6ft and he’s having to duck under all the doors and in some of the rooms in our cottage 🫣😂 Wishing you too a very happy and healthy new year, I hope it’s started well for you. Thank you for the good wishes for my Dad, he’s slowly building his strength and is very happy and positive 🎉✨
I couldn’t live anywhere where, if I ran out of milk or whatever I couldn’t just take a shortish walk or drive a couple of minutes in the car. My village is semi rural, we have a small co-op & post office, butchers, pharmacy, GP surgery, hairdressers, little coffee shop, 2 pubs with restaurants and a veterinary clinic. We have most things one needs really…plus it’s a very pretty place 8 miles from Chester.
Oh lovely, it’s been years since we visited Chester, a lovely place. Your village sounds similar to ours, still feels rural but with all the essentials 😊
Wow! I can't believe the price of homes in England these days. Seems to have changed a lot since we left in the 60's when my parents brought the family to the US for work.
Hi! Oh yes, house prices are crazy! These villages are very desirable so probably don’t reflect the “typical” cost… but generally all around the UK it’s getting harder for people to get on the property ladder. Wishing you a very Happy New Year… thank you for watching ☺️
I'd live there in a heartbeat. But although I am from a commonwealth country with a Bachelor of Education degree, UK Immigration isn't interested in me cos I'm "too old" at 54 years of age! Never mind. I'll enjoy all this beauty from afar via your vlogs and the occasional holiday! ❤
Oh no, that’s such a shame, and you’re not too old at all! If it were up to me I’d happily welcome you to our village ☺️ wishing you a happy & healthy new year! X
What a restful walk. You refreshed my soul, thank you. I love the church gate...enter his gates... it's a Bible verse. Psalm 100:4-5 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, And into his courts with praise: Be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; And his truth endureth to all generations. I'd love to see inside that church. 1240, wow!
Haha good point! Although, I have used our village shop for dinner ingredients for tonight, I’m so disorganised I rely on grabbing bits last minute! The little villages are lovely quiet though 👌

I too love to see a red telephone box, they remind me of my childhood, wrestling with the heavy door 😂
Thank you for the tour of the Langtons ~ definitely blissful to me! Xxx
