Although I'll never be an actual arm wrestler, I became a big fan after watching Over the Top (again) when I was a young teen (early 90s). After shattering my wrist at 12yrs old and again in Highschool, I began searching for wrist exercises to help with mobility. Arm Wrestling exercises gave the best results by far. I'm 150lbs (5"9) and drag a 150lbs hose for a living. These exercises I've learned and honed by watching professional arm wrestlers including Devons oldest videos here have made me a machine. The Moral is, these exercises are definitely for more than just arm wrestling. What started as rehab has ended up being a life saver in my career.

Hey Devon. Jedi Master...I just was Arm wrestling a fella that was 90lbs more than myself. He was 1st pull after my journey began 6months ago. ..I've been training ...properly and smartly... always try to get stronger. We eased into eachother ..and then it was on. ... I held up very well. Officially we weren't going for pins. We pulled full power ...he said ... I did. It was super motivating against a larger guy.
Can't wait to see you crush levan 💪 thank you for the tips too, you've literally inspired me to want to arm wrestling and you actually changed my opinion on the sport, going a two years back I look at this sport like it was nothing, and now I actually get it, some of my friends laugh at me but it's okay, I actually love arm wrestling thanks to you! Thank you so much Devon 💙
I just made my second armwrestling table. It’s an arm sumo / freedom style table with pegs though, so it’s kind of a Frankenstein build. But the first one I built was a learning experience. As someone who can’t armwrestle other people a lot because the lack of club and my friends aren’t necessarily interested. My best exposure I’ve had is armwrestling all the personal trainers at my job. (I work at a huge gymnasium as a technician/handyman so whenever I talk to some of the guys and girls who are PT there we have a go at it.) Also some of my coworkers in my job are freakishly strong so we always armwreslte in the back as well. They pretty much know me as the young guy who has bigger than average forearms and is always looking to armwrestle someone. I’ve been trying to start a club at my University where I attended classes, but the process requires you to have 10+ people with designated positions such as Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Sponsor, etc. etc. Which is kind of ridiculous. But I’m looking forward to going back to Martial Art Club (my first sport I practiced and still practice, and see if they let me have a mini ‘seminar’ or showcase of armwrestling.) I’ve been practicing armwrestling for about 3 years, but with really only a small fraction of it being actual table time sadly. Most of it is just the strength building exercises your average armwrestler would do and pulling some of your coworkers and friends. I guess the whole reason I wrote this is because I really won’t let anything stop me from trying to be involved with the community. And nothing should stop anyone else from being a part of the community. Get a judo belt and loop some weights through it, get some grippers , make a table, bring it up to your friends and family, watch all the videos you can, and most of all be safe so you can do it for a long time.
I started out going waaaaay too hard. Recovery was terrible. I've learned to pace myself and pull when it's convenient for me and my arm, not whenever events and practices line up. Kind of why I wasn't the best team member in my initial crew. Skipped a lot of practices/events to heal... Anyway great vid and pretty much everything you said in this one also applies to chess. 💪
Thanks for the video Devon. I have been watching for quite awhile. Going to my first club meeting this weekend! Looking forward to the journey! Thanks for all the videos, and being you. Best of luck in the future!
Hey Momma 😘 Dev man you're looking fit and healthy AF.. and this video is fucking brilliant. You give us all so much. The best thing is when a black belt can still teach a white belt. Thank you. 💪❤️
I would love for you to watch videos on people breaking their arms, plenty of videos can be found on youtube of that and you say what not to do for beginners as from what i can tell many of the arm breaks you find are amateurs.
I got tendinitis really bad arm wrestling when I was a kid and still to this day it comes back. Anyway if ur gonna learn u might as well learn from the best ro ever do it
For everyone asking Devon for routines or workouts, he has a HUGE range of videos on his UA-cam channel. The best thing you can do, is listen to arm wrestlers, but don't copy them. Listen to many trusted sources, gather their skills and experience together and create something that works for you. You have all the information available, the steps after that you have to do yourself. No one can or will come do it for you, if you don't set your own path, you won't be heading the way you want. Watch their workouts, try them yourself, and adjust it to work the best for you, then expand as you gain more knowledge from them. It's not hard learning yourself tbf, arm wrestle and see what movements/muscles you use, then simulate those movements and muscles off a table. Only you know exactly what you need to work on.
Devon please make us a short video on your though on using the rice bucket for hand & wrist development. Does it build strength, power, endurance or all 3..also how and what specific movements you do with your hand once in the rice.how often? Maybe even do it yourself and show us the pump and fatigue you get in your hand & forearm after the work....it may even be beneficial for a certain upcoming match
Finding the training partner who'd' want to share the armwrestling journey with you is the hardest part

I love how casual the videos are.
No usual youtube bs.
"HeY GuyS SmAsH ThE LIKe...!"
I love the reference to Levan with the gorilla
I started out going waaaaay too hard. Recovery was terrible. I've learned to pace myself and pull when it's convenient for me and my arm, not whenever events and practices line up. Kind of why I wasn't the best team member in my initial crew. Skipped a lot of practices/events to heal... Anyway great vid and pretty much everything you said in this one also applies to chess. 💪
Wow nice, made this question today on the armwrestling Facebook group and now this vídeo drops. Tnx Devon!

Hey Momma 😘
Dev man you're looking fit and healthy AF.. and this video is fucking brilliant. You give us all so much.
The best thing is when a black belt can still teach a white belt.
Thank you. 💪❤️
This is insanely accurate
Nice guy this one. Bright future in armwrestling ahead of him.
I just started training a couple weeks ago after watching for a year. You're lucky I didn't start earlier
I would love for you to watch videos on people breaking their arms, plenty of videos can be found on youtube of that and you say what not to do for beginners as from what i can tell many of the arm breaks you find are amateurs.
Devon talking seriously wearing this is hilarious

Great advice. I just snapped a 3/8 chain on my last pulley curl.

Man, love the shirt!
Bro, that is one of the best shirts ive ever seen!!!
That shirt is killing me dude. LMAO too funny.
That is such good advice and more people need to apply this thinking to everything they do
hi from Czech Devon and thx 4 this video!
