    That is the clearest explanation of chipping for me. Watching how to swing the club through while just brushing the grass with the bounce of the club. Thank you😊🎉🇦🇺

    Thanks Martina! Thinking about letting the leading edge pass through the grass is an interesting way of imagining the shot while letting the wrists be a be more free is a very interesting idea. I’m looking forward to trying it out. Thanks!

    Excellent description of how to take advantage of the bounce! Too often the temptation is to take a divot in order to get the shot higher.

    I liked this video and totally agree with your assessment
    I like to brush than take out the divit actually I don’t take out deep divot even with my irons
    I hate damaging the ground too

      Thats a good idea for Pitching and also Chipping, but in general give yourself a certain allowance to get some divots done. It's actually a good thing :)

    Great tip Martina. On a tight lie, should the same basic technique be used? Thanks.

      Depends how tight. Of course at some point the bounce could be in your way... Then you need to play it a bit differently. I would cut it a bit more with the leading edge. Hope you understand what I mean by saying that...

    Hi Martina, do you open the clubface slightly? Tx

    Would you say a "tiny bit" is ½ a ball or one ball?
    Marvelously fundamental tips though 👌

    What does the left wrist do? I'm pretty sure my rt arm is overpowering my left, and I'm bending my left wrist, so the ball goes to the left too. Ty.... Loving your videos, I just found you tonight!

    When you say, "a little bit left," do you mean your left, meaning a little forward?

      Same question here on the ball… the ball to be a little bit left from my/golfer stance, or the opposite? But the ball seems to be like a little bit right from you in the video

    Using the bounce would terrify me on a tight lie pitch))

    • @martina_eberl_coaching_en
      @martina_eberl_coaching_en  Рік тому +2

      Me too. But a tight lie is not a normal lie. This is why we have the bounce and leading edge. For what situation it is, we could choose what is more appropriate ...

    we have to be careful not to take deep divots as the little creatures
    beneath the soil will be homeless ,,or even headless ,worms are
    safer if your clubhead barely marks the earth,😟🥴😉😂😇

      If you think so... 4 min 45sec is actually very short. But if you are in a hurry, you can fast forward it too :)

    I chip like you and have had good results could always be better. Speaking about divots, could you do a lesson on why a person might make to big of divots? It's funny I am a higher single digit handicap player and attack the ball and am prob a bit steep but I get good compression. Buddies will say I wish I hit like that and I have always wanted to like pick off the ground no divot but can't! I enjoy yout videos.

    • @martina_eberl_coaching_en
      @martina_eberl_coaching_en  Рік тому +1

      Well Rick, it's about the angle of attack. Indeed how steep you get to the ball. There are many factors like wrists, weight transfer etc. Also how tall you are... If you are tall, the angle is automatically steeper if you let the turn happen the right way... Ballposition... The further back the steeper, the further front, more shallow. Just imagine you release your hands upwards like a lob shot, you will certainly pick less divots cause you are using the bounce... hope that helps!
