Nordictrack s22i black screen fix

My control board has died twice in 3.5 years. Once under warranty and once I replaced the bad control board myself. $159 from the Treadmill Doctor including tax and shipping. Got it in a few days. While I love the S22i iFit rides when it's working the control board issue is an unacceptable defect. The Treadmill Doctor said they sell a lot of these boards because the product is bad. I'm trying to educate as many people as possible to not buy the S22i.
I just put my S22i on a switched extension cord so I can cut the power when not using it. I hope this prevents future issues.

I had the exact same issue. One day nothing worked on the S22i but as there is no on/off switch, I had just left it on. I got no support from Nordictrack, IFIT or McSport so order the control board myself. Took 5 min to install and everything is back up and running.

when you first discovered it wasn't working, what light code was flashing? Mine is flashing 4 then 2 red. Otherwise....black screen, nothing is working.

Just replaced my controller board. It fixed my problem. I ordered mine from Amazon but it came from Hydra Fitness.
