This is my first exercise bike (s22i newest) - I used to workout and then fell out of it. I am hoping this helps me kickstart my motivation again. I am excited about the Google Maps and scenic rides. You mention that every day you are in a different location...Are these rides created by you in Google Maps or are there that many rides already set up? I am new to iFit community - How is the community? if there is one? What about how often updates come up? such as new routes or scenic rides? Thank you for your videos - they have definitely helped me choose this bike.

The content is great but I do find the stuttering a distraction from the experience? I live in Australia and it can get quite bad at times. I found out surprisingly they only have USA servers, which is crazy considering the price of subscription. 1 gigabit internet connection and right next to the router and yet the quality of video is a grainy compression. Its a shame and I hope they get there act together.

Hi Steve, thank you for your videos - I found them after watching the official assembly instructions video and getting a bit lost, and you've been a great help! I have a question about the iFit subscription - you recommend buying a sub on sale from elsewhere, but when I first turn the machine on it wants me to either log in with an existing account or sign up, and signing up will activate the included free trial. Should I sign up for a new account on the bike, or should I sign up on another device to avoid activating the trial? Also, there are only two of us who will use the bike, so a family membership is overkill; but if I buy two individual iFit subscriptions will they both work on the same bike?

      Glad they helped!
You can buy an annual subscription from Ifit or NordicTrack which is cheaper than monthly.
Or, just go monthly until you see a sale and switch then.
Two single memberships will mean logging out of one account to access the other so may get ‘old’.
      👍🏽

@@SteveJulien thanks again! Yes, having to log out and in each time sounds like it might get old quickly. I've found a site selling a year's individual membership for €112 which is a fairly decent discount compared to the nordictrack website. We're going to share one account to start with and see how it goes.
By the way, when putting the S22i together I found that the manual appeared to have some diagrams from the previous model - for example it was impossible to pass the wires from the screen over the top, as illustrated, because the metal plate of the console wouldn't allow it and I had to route them under the console plate instead.
Another thing was that they didn't bother supplying a seat (I had already bought a wider and more comfortable seat anyway, so not too fussed about that, but if I hadn't then I wouldn't be very happy).
When putting in the handlebar post the foam hadn't been cut properly and was stopping the screw holes from lining up until I trimmed it with a knife.
There was a manual supplement included, which said it replaces the pedal assembly instructions, but there weren't any pedal assembly instructions in the manual and the pedals came already fitted!
And there was a mystery bag of parts which look like they might be for another cycling shoe cleat system, but I'm not sure...
I suppose that's all part of the fun of it, and we got it assembled in the end! Today we're going to use it for the first time - I'm going to take your advice and start with a ride in Ireland. I hope I don't start booking holidays like you! 😂

Question: can the beeping sound of the auto-adjusting motor of the bike be put off? Just listening to it via a video already drives me crazy already.

    • @SteveJulien

      Good question!
With auto adjust, you hardly press it as the bike is making the adjustments for you.
Plus, you can’t hear it over your headphones.
If you ride without headphones and want to manually change it, I don’t think you can turn it off.

I was wondering if you can do videos on how many calories you burn when exercising on the bike. Maybe show at different levels from low intensity to high intensity and every level in-between. Maybe do a set time for each exercise like 30 minutes so we can see the calorie burn difference at each level. Mentioning your weight would help also because people at different weights burn calories differently.
